Wenger raves: 'Explosive' £34m attacker wanted by Klopp is 'like Thierry Henry'. Liverpool transfer in the future?

Arsene Wenger has compared a recent Liverpool's transfer target with one of the Premier League's greatest goalscorers.

Last season, Liverpool reportedly sent scouts to watch Monaco attacker Kylian Mbappe, and then, in October, Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claimed:

"Mbappe has drawn interest from Liverpool, Juve, PSG, Man City and Man Utd, all of whom have told Monaco they want the player".

Arsenal are also on the admirer's list, and when asked this week about the Gunners' interest, Arsene Wenger enthused:

"He [Mbappe] is electric like Thierry was, can dribble, can pass and is efficient. The potential is similar."

In a recent interview, Mbappe's father (and Agent) warned that the 18-year old will quit Monaco unless he gets more playing time:

"I do not understand Monaco's management of my son. Kylian is unhappy, and if things do not change between now and January we will have to reflect on things and make a decision".

Some info about Mbappe:

* Left-winger, who can also play on the right, or as a striker. Graduate of France's Clarefontaine academy.
Current contract expires: 2019

* Coach Jean-Claude Lafargue's assessment: "He's [Mbappe] is a wide forward, who can cause panic. He is an explosive player who can pick passes that others won't necessarily see."

* Jan 2016: Reports in France claimed that Liverpool were in 'active negotiations' with Monaco.

* Feb 2016: Broke Thierry Henry’s 21-year record to become Monaco's youngest-ever scorer.

* Feb 2016: When asked about his strengths, Mbappe told UEFA.com: "My main quality is my speed. I still have problems with defending and I need to be more consistent".

* Aug 2016: Monaco reportedly rejected a £34m bid from Man City.

Since his father's public rant, Monaco have increased Mbappe's game time, and he's responded with 13 goals/assists in 19 apps, which equates to an impressive goal/assist every 55 minutes. Worth pursuing in the summer?
