Confirmed Teams: Liverpool suffer massive injury blow; 'brilliant' €25m star finally returns; Matip still out

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made one change for today's Premier League clash with Sunderland.

TEAM: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Klavan, Milner, Can, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Mane, Firmino, Sturridge

SUBS: Karius, Moreno, Lucas, Origi, Stewart, Alexander-Arnold, Ejaria

* Henderson is out of the squad due to injury, and given the fact it's a heel issue - the same, recurring injury that dogged him last season, it's possible he may be out for a while.

* Daniel Sturridge comes into the team to replace Hendo, and in theory, Sunderland (with their terrible defence) is the ideal game for the 'brilliant' striker to return and (possible) get on the scoresheet.

* Over the weekend, Klopp hinted that Origi may start the game, but he remains on the bench.

* This is Sadio Mane's last game for a month, so he'll hopefully make it count.

* Predicting a 2-0 Liverpool win, Reds legend Mark Lawrenson told the BBC: "Sunderland will set up to be hard to beat and probably will be, but Liverpool will have too much".

Probable formation:

------------ Mignolet
Clyne -- Lovren - Klavan ---- Milner
---- Lallana - Can -- Wijnaldum
- Mane ---- Sturridge - Firmino

With this being Liverpool's second game in two days, there's an argument to be made that Klopp should've rotated the squad a little more (to avoid the possibility of injury). Fingers crossed the team doesn't pick up any further injuries,

* Sturridge: €25m-rated (CIES Football Observatory)
