Injury Disaster: Klopp confirms 'brilliant' €25m star will miss Liverpool's next two games; 'no idea' when he's back

How serious is Daniel Sturridge's current injury?

It must be pretty serious because Sturridge is still not back in full team training. Speaking to reporters today, Klopp confirmed that Sturridge is working with the club's 'rehab coach', and is yet to join up with his team-mates on the training field. He further explained:

"I have no idea when he [Sturridge] will be back. If he is not training with the team at the moment then we don’t have to think about him for West Ham, or for Middlesbrough".

This is 'brilliant' Sturridge's third week of missing team training, so the injury is obviously serious, and it looks like it'll be a while before he's fit enough to return. Personally, I doubt Sturridge will play again before the new year.

Once recovered, he will have to consistently train to get back up to match fitness, and if Klopp sticks with his previous plan of demanding 10 straight days of training before first-team selection (as he hinted at today) then it'll probably be mid-January before Sturridge returns.

Should Liverpool take the plunge and sign a new striker in January, or is the squad strong enough to cover the absences of Sturridge, Mane, and Ings?
