Confirmed Team News: 'Brilliant' Liverpool attacker out; Klopp confirms £43m 'superstar' is back; Matip also fit

Liverpool face West Ham at Anfield on Sunday, and here is the latest confirmed team news.

* In his pre-match press conference, Klopp confirmed that Matip and Mane are both available for Sunday's game.

* Klopp also confirmed: "I have no idea when he [Sturridge] will be back. If he is not training with the team at the moment then we don’t have to think about him for West Ham, or for Middlesbrough".

* On Friday, Slaven Bilic offered the following injury update for West Ham: "Antonio and Cresswell are available for Sunday. We hoped Cheikhou [Kouyate] would be back but it has come too soon."

* As for perennial sicknote Andy Carroll, Bilic noted: "Hopefully he will be fit for some part of the game this weekend — but we have to be careful with him."

After 3 goals in 3 games, there's a strong case for Origi to start his third game in a row, but with Adam Lallana back in the squad, he'll probably get dumped to make way for Klopp's golden boy (with Firmino moving up-front).

If this happens, it will be a ridiculous and unfair decision (IMO), and will prove that there's no genuine meritocracy at Liverpool. If a striker scores 3 goals in 3 games, he should start, not be dumped for a player who isn't fully match-fit.
