Confirmed Teams: Liverpool Injury blow; 'Fantastic' €25m attacker dumped on the bench; Klopp hypocrisy?

As expected, Joel Matip is missing yet again for today's Premier League clash with Stoke City.

FULL TEAM: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Klavan, Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Mane, Firmino, Origi

SUBS: Karius, Sturridge, Moreno, Lucas, Can, Ejaria, Woodburn

STOKE: Grant, Johnson, Shawcross, Martins Indi, Pieters, Whelan, Imbula, Walters, Allen, Diouf, Crouch

* Firmino retains his place in the team despite being arrested for drink driving. I doubt Sakho would've been treated as favourably. Sakho committed the heinous, unforgivable crimes of being late for a team meal, and missing a fitness session (the horror!), and was swiftly punished (over and over again). Firmino is arrested for a drink driving (which means he either failed a breathalyser test, or refused to take one). and keeps his place in the team. Fairness in action! (Cue lame excuses defending Firmino/Klopp, and slating Sakho).

* I'm not suggesting that Firmino should've been dropped - I'm just highlighting the difference in Klopp's treatment of two players. Sakho's treatment is grossly unfair, and Klopp is basically a hypocrite.

* Ovie Ejaria returns to the bench after missing out on the last game. Alexander Arnold doesn't make it this time. Woodburn is also on the bench again, and that makes it five league games in a row.

* Klavan covers for Matip again, and after two clean sheets in a row, it makes sense to keep the defensive unit together.

* For some reason, Hughes has decided to leave 'fantastic' attacker Xherdan Shaqiri on the bench, which is good news for Liverpool.

Probable formation:

-------------- Mignolet
Clyne ---- Lovren -- Klavan --- Milner
----- Lallana -- Hendo --- Wijnaldum
------- Mane --- Origi --- Firmino
