Klopp Confirms: 'Brilliant' €28m Liverpool star has 'serious' injury and is out until December

Jurgen Klopp has provided a new update on the fitness of Liverpool star Adam Lallana.

Lallana - recently hailed by Jurgen Klopp for his 'brilliant' performances - missed today's 0-0 draw with Southampton throuigh injury, and after the game, Klopp confirmed:

"Lallana is not in because he picked up an injury with England. It's serious enough to be not involved today and possibly the next two or three games".

Liverpool's next three games are against Sunderland, Leeds, and Bournemouth, and if Lallana misses all three games, he won't return until the home game with West Ham on December 11th.

Some fans will see that as a major loss, but I don't see it as a problem. Liverpool (arguably) didn't miss Lallana today, and if the finishing had been better (from Firmino and Clyne, especially), the Reds could've left St. Mary's with 3-0 win.

Liverpool didn't really hit the heights today, with Coutinho and Mane particularly below their usual standard (IMO), but who cares - it's another clean sheet; the team is still top of the league, and the unbeaten run is now at 13 games.

The Reds won't win every game, but when the goals dry up, it's important not to lose, and that's precisely what happened today.
