Liverpool face Swansea City on Saturday, and ahead of the game, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that one of the club's attackers may be forced to sit out the game due to a new injury issue.
During his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Klopp told reporters:
“Divock got a little knock on his foot and we had to do a few more assessments. Maybe it’s a little bit too short a period until the game, but we have to see.”
Liverpool are in the rare position right now of having only two players on the injury list, but with Seyi Ojo already back in training, and joe Gomez expected back next week, the Reds may soon injury free (what a novelty).
As for Origi - he won't be missed. It sounds harsh, but it's true. Liverpool are averaging 2.6 goal per game in the league this season, and Origi has barely made an impact when he's played (one shot on goal in four league apps).
If - as Klopp hints - Origi has to sit this one out, it's surely an opportunity for Danny Ings to make the bench?
