Confirmed Team News [LFC/Leicester]: 7 players out including 'brilliant' £36m Liverpool star. 'Painful' injury for Klavan

After a brief hiatus, Liverpool are finally back at Anfield tomorrow, and Premier League champions Leicester City await in what is sure to a tough test for the reds. As usual, several players will will the game through injury, and ahead of the match, there's already plenty of confirmed team news to consider on both sides.

Bar Can and Klavan, Liverpool's players emerged unscathed from the infernal international break, and here are the latest updates:

* Klopp on CAN: "Emre^ has a little issue with the ankle. Maybe he will be back today or tomorrow in team training, but it will not be enough for the Leicester game".

* Klopp on KLAVAN: "Klavan [has] problems with a bone bruise and a rip around the knee. It's painful".

* Klopp on OJO: "He has not been in team training until now".

* Ranieri on SCHMEICHEL: "He is ready to play. The surgery was fantastic and he is ready to play".

* Ranieri on MENDY: "He is training on the bike [but] he still needs a week".

* Ranieri on SCHLUPP: "He is close, but I don’t want to risk him against Liverpool".

* Gomez and Sakho both remain on the comeback trail.

With Lucas, Matip, Lovren, and Stewart fit and available, there's plenty of cover for Can and Klavan, but it remains to be seen whether Klopp will actually utilise a dedicated DM in Can's stead.
