Transfer Agreed: Boss confirms deal for 'amazing' €15m star who 'wants to join Liverpool' is imminent. LFC or Napoli?

The summer's most tedious transfer saga rumbles on! With Poland now out of Euro 2016, Piotr Zielinski's future will hopefully be wrapped up forthwith, and although Liverpool appear to be in the driving seat, there appears to be a concerted effort to convince him to sign for Napoli.

Last month, Napoli Chief Aurelio De Laurentis confirmed that the allegedly 'amazing' Zielinski^ 'wants to join Liverpool', and further insisted:

“Liverpool have made a bid and Zielinski wants to join them [Liverpool], but we are trying to convince the player to join us”.

Soon after, Udinese President Fabrizio Corsi told Radio Kiss Kiss:

“Klopp has been talking to [Zielinski] since January [but] I would advise Zielinski to join Napoli".

Now, Udinese sporting director Nereo Bonato has also advised Zielinski to stay in Serie A. In a radio interview on Friday, he noted:

"Zielinski told me that he would take a decision after the Euros. There is agreement with Napoli, which we hope he will agree to. That's what we want too. In the coming days we will have important news".

If Zielinski wants to step up and improve himself, then he's better off signing for Napoli, where he'll be able to test himself against the best in the Champions League.

I don't see how Zielinski is an upgrade on the club's current attacking players, and if Liverpool are to progress from 8th place mediocrity, then better players than him are required (IMO).

Whatever happens, this interminable transfer saga will hopefully be put to be 'in the coming days'.
