You're Out: After Anfield fail, Liverpool invite offers for 'fantastic' £20m attacker. Sell or keep?

After an (unsuccessful) year on loan, Lazar Markovic is back at Anfield for Liverpool's pre-season schedule, but it appears that his return may ultimately prove to be short-lived.

According to The Mirror:

"Liverpool will consider bids for winger Lazar Markovic this summer [as] his opportunities at Anfield will be vastly restricted by the reduced fixture schedule".

Quite a few players will be affected by the club's drastic reduction in games this season, and Markovic should be first on the list of potential departures.

Since arriving at Anfield, the Serb has shown nothing to justify his £20m transfer fee, and he's also failed to impress in the last three pre-season games, so there's no point keeping him at the club.

Markovic doesn't appear to have much support amongst the Liverpool fanbase. I recently conducted a poll asking fans if Klopp should sell or keep Markovic. The results:

Can Klopp get anything out of Markovic? The Serb has pace, so that is an obvious plus-point, but in my view, he will not prosper in a structure where defensive/pressing duties take precedence over individual self-expression.

Additionally, Markovic has a frustrating penchant for hamstring injuries (three last season alone; 29 games miaed), so he is arguably better off leaving the club, and playing in a less physically demanding league.

* Described by Jordan Henderson as a 'fantastic' player.
