Anfield Alert: Boss confirms 'amazing' £20m sensation 'could leave' soon. Sign for Liverpool?

'Amazing' Leicester City star N'Golo Kante is inarguably one of the breakout stars of the season, and after being an integral part of the Foxes' improbable charge for the title, the combative midfielder is sure to have many suitors this summer. Last month, Kante recently his first international call-up, and according to Claudio Ranieri, he will be allowed to leave this summer if the price is right. Should Kante be on Liverpool's transfer radar this summer?

When asked about Kante's future, Ranieri told The Guardian:

"There is a chance he could leave...if big teams give us a lot of money. If he's not happy here and wants to go. I don't want sad people here - I want my players to be happy."

Kante - who, according to Rio Ferdinand is 'the best tackler/retriever of the ball on the planet' - seems open to a move, and when asked recently about his future, he told Sky Sports:

"I will fight for Leicester this season and next season we never know and we will see. I don't mind about the [transfer speculation from] other clubs"

Reds legend Jamie Carragher is a fan of Kante, and in a recent column for the Daily Mail, he enthused:

"Kante [Who cost Leicester £5.6m] has been just as influential as Mahrez and Jamie Vardy in Leicester's rise to the top, and it's another feather in the cap of their scouting department."

£20m-rated Kante adds bite, energy, and physicality to Leicester's midfield, and given a straight choice between him and Emre Can, I'd take Kante, who - unlike Can - excels in his role by keeping it simple. Ronald Koeman summed it up in March, when he told Sky Sports:

"He [Kante] wins every second ball and is always on the move. His position is very clever and he is a great player."
