Anfield Update: Liverpool want 'excellent' £40k-a-week Bundesliga star who confirmed transfer 'offer' from Man Utd

In February, Liverpool announced the signing of Schalke star Joel Matip, and new reports suggest that the Jurgen Klopp is planning another raid on the Bundesliga club this summer.

According to Sky Sports:

* Liverpool are tracking 22-year old left-back Sead Kolasinac.

* Reds scouts have watched Kolasinac 'several times' season.

When asked this week about Liverpool's interest, Kolasinac - reportedly on £40k-a-week at Schalke - told Sky Deutschland:

"At Schalke I found a second home and my desire is to renew the contract."

Some info about Kolasinac, described as 'excellent' by ex-Schalke boss Roberto Di Matteo:

* Left-back, who can also play as a defensive-midfielder. Current contract expires: 2017.

* 83 apps for Schalke (1 goal/4 assists). 9 appearances for Bosnia-Herceogovina.

* Apr 2014: Kolasinac confirmed: "Yes, I have an offer from Manchester United, but I will not hurry the decision. I have to see what Schalke think about it.".

* Aug 2014: Suffered a cruciate ligament injury, and spent 178 days on the sidelines.

* Dec 2015: Kolasinac's agent claimed: "There are great Premier League clubs such as Manchester City who are watching him".

With Clyne, Moreno, Flanagan, and Smith at the club, Liverpool appears to be well covered in the full-back position, but rumours keep popping up, and if they're true, it suggests that Klopp is not happy with his options.

Which of the club's four first-team left-backs are most under threat from a new arrival?
