Yes Please: £37m Liverpool target reveals 'dream' to sign for a Premier League club

Liverpool are currently linked with a summer move for 'combative' Borussia Moenchengladbach star Granit Xhaka, in a new interview this week, the tough midfielder has confirmed that a move to the Premier League is a strong possibility.

In January, The Telegraph claimed:

"Liverpool could break their transfer record to sign Granit Xhaka. BM Gladbach want £37m for the player".

A month later, German newspaper SportBild reported:

"SportBild has learned that Jurgen Klopp had a meeting with [Granit] Xhaka's Agent in December 2015".

When specifically asked today about 'Liverpool and Manchester United rumours', Xhaka told Sport 1:

"Everyone has a childhood dream, and to me this is England. I am enormously happy here, but you have to sometimes look at other things, and talk to the club"

To sign Xhaka, Klopp will almost certainly have to break his own personal transfer record, which currently stands at £19m for Henrikh Mkhitaryn.

£19m to £37m is a big jump, and based on his transfers for far (Caulker and Matip for free; Grujic for £5m), it seems unlikely that Klopp will spend so much money on one player.

Sporting Lisbon DM William Carvalho is available for a similar transfer fee, and Ignacio Camacho - who allegedly toured Melwood last month - has a £14m buyout clause. Who of the three is the best value for money?
