Transfer Stunner: 'Reckless' Liverpool star offered €15m mega-salary to quit Anfield. Secret meeting held

Last month, Milan boss Sinisa Mihajlovic publicly blasted on-loan Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli for failing to 'sacrifice' himself for the team, and with Milan unlikely to make Balotelli's deal permanent, new reports suggest that Chinese club Jiangsu are keen to take the Italian off Liverpool's hands this summer.

In early February, The Independent, claimed:

"Liverpool do not expect AC Milan to sign Mario Balotelli on a permanent basis. Milan are growing tired of Balotelli...and are unlikely to extend his stay".

According to Italian newspaper Gazetta Dello Sport this week:

* Balotelli - recently slammed as a 'reckless bet' by Milan legend Dejan Savicevic - recently met with Jiangsu reps in a 'well-known Milanese hotel'.

* Jiangsu offered Balotelli €15m per season to sign for the Chinese club.

€15m a season? An utterly disgraceful and obscene amount of money, but if it gets Balotelli off the books, then so be it.

I've defended Balotelli in the past, and maintain that view that Rodgers failed to utilise him in the right manner (i.e. constantly playing him as a lone striker, something Balotelli himself publicly questioned).

However, Balotelli - who, according to his deluded agent, is worth £45m - is (or should be) finished at Liverpool, and after his latest failure at Milan, his career is probably on an irreversible downward spiral (hence the possible move to China).

If this story is true, then Liverpool will also receive a decent pay-day and recoup some of Balotelli's £16m transfer fee.
