Liverpool may be suffering from a seemingly neverending injury crisis, but Arsenal are also missing some big players, and the good news ahead of tonight's crunch clash at Anfield is that one of the Gunners' most 'brilliant' players is definitely out of the game.
In his pre-match press conference, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger confirmed:
"It [the Liverpool game] is too soon for Alexis Sanchez. Maybe he will be fit for Sunday".
This is undoubtedly a massive boost for Liverpool. A fully-fit Sanchez - who reportedly earns £130k-a-week - is a formidable player, and at Emirates last season, he helped Arsenal hammer the Reds 4-1, and capped it off with a top class goal.
Alas, Arsenal have a whole host of other classy attacking players, including Mesut Ozil who has 16 assists in 19 league games this season.
With those figures, the odds of him creating a goal tomorrow are extremely high, and concentration levels in Liverpool's makeshift defence (which may or may not include Steven Caulker) will need to at 110%.
Philippe Coutinho is Liverpool's version of Sanchez, and much to the chagrin of Reds fans, the Brazilian maestro is also out of the game with a hamstring injury.
Who is more important for their respective teams: Coutinho or Sanchez?
