Confirmed Liverpool Team: Klopp drops 'outstanding' Brazilian; £25m playmaker finally starts; Klopp risks Lallana again

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made a couple of changes for today's Premier League clash with West Brom, and the biggest surprise is that Lucas Leiva is dropped to the bench.

FULL TEAM: Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno, Can, Milner, Henderson, Lallana, Coutinho, Benteke

SUBS: Bogdan, Toure, Firmino, Lucas, Allen, Origi, Ibe

WEST BROM: Myhill; Dawson, McAuley, Olsson, Evans; Brunt, Fletcher (c), Gardner, McClean; Morrison; Rondon

* 'Outstanding' Lucas is one of Liverpool's most effective players under Klopp, but it looks like the German boss has decided that Emre Can is a better option. Well, it's his funeral.

* Firmino is deservedly dropped after several ineffective performances, but Coutinho is back in the starting lineup as a ready-made replacement.

* Unsurprisingly, though, Klopp sticks with the even more ineffective Adam Lallana, who has only one league goal in 27 hours of football, and and a pitiful two assists in 37 hours. Pathetic, yet he's seemingly immune to being dropped.

* Well, as with Rodgers, Klopp will pay the price for his misguided faith. Lallana will continue his epic failure to contribute up-front, and Liverpool will continue to draw/lose games. Of course, I'll be as happy as anyone if Lallana proves me wrong today.

Probable Formation

--------------- Mignolet
Clyne ---- Skrtel --- Lovren ---- Moreno
------- Hendo --- Can --- Milner
-------- Coutinho -- Lallana
--------------- Benteke
