VIDEO: Liverpool's 'New Deco' and exciting South-American signing provide assists for Coutinho/Firmino

It's the same thing every year: the first four months of the season are constantly interrupted by tedious international breaks, and the worst of these is when the games have absolutely zero significance, as is the case with the current round of friendly matches.

I'd rather watch water evaporate than endure the intolerable anti-football served up by the England national team, so it's a good thing that there's still some Liverpool action to watch, even if it is only a practice game.

On Friday afternoon, Liverpool beat Wolves 3-2 in a friendly at Melwood.

Brazilian duo Coutinho and Firmino grabbed all three goals between them, but the game was notable for the inclusion of many promising young players, including Sergi Canos, Allan Rodriguez de Souza, Ryan Cleary, Joao Carloss Teixeira, Sheyi Ojo, and Jerome Sinclair.

* Allan grabbed an assist for Coutinho's first goal.

* Teixeira - dubiously nicknamed the 'New Deco' - set-up Firmino for Liverpool's second goal.

* Ojo laid on Coutinho's second goal of the afternoon.

LIVERPOOL: George, Alexander-Arnold, Toure, Lovren, Moreno, Lucas, Allan, Teixeira, Coutinho, Firmino, Sinclair.

SUBS (all used): Woodburn, Ojo, Dunn, Whelan, Ejaria, Canos, Kane, Cleary, Maguire, Phillips.
