Photo Proof: 'Talented' Liverpool starlet who idolises 'Iniesta' trains with Firmino. Man-Utd surprise?

Liverpool's academy players are regularly given chances to train with the club's first-team, and this week, Reds boss Brendan Rodgers brought one of the club's most promising midfielders into the first-team set-up.

As the following photo shows, 17-year old Ovie Ejaria trained alongside the likes of Firmino, Coutinho, and Sturridge this week:

Some info about Ejaria:

* Left-footed defensive midfielder, who signed for Liverpool in 2014 after a successful trial at Anfield.

* Also underwent a trial with Dutch giants Ajax.

* Description on the official Liverpool website: "[The] Talented midfielder joined Liverpool in the summer of 2014 after spending nine years with Arsenal. He [Ejaria] is a central midfield player with a great engine and eye for a pass".

* Supported Arsenal 'growing up'. After spending nine years at the club, it's probable that he's still an Arsenal supporter (!)

* €27m-rated Andres Iniesta is Ejaria's football 'idol'.

* Philippe Coutinho is the current Liverpool player he most 'admires'.

* Recently switched international allegiance to Nigeria: "I have been to Nigeria twice, when I was much younger and most recently for the Under 17 screening exercise. Though I was born in England, my parents are Nigerians. So I have pledged my international future to Nigeria.”

Liverpool are overflowing with promising academy players, but there are very few tall, powerful defensive midfielders in the youth ranks, and if Ejaria is being developed as a DM, then that could be good news for the Reds in the future.

It'll be a major surprise, though, if Ejaria makes the bench for the Manchester United game. Jordan Rossiter has more of a chance, and he's already featured on the subs bench twice this season.
