Game Over for Suso? £10m star admits he's 'tempted' by transfer to LFC. Sign?

Liverpool are are reportedly considering making an offer for Lyon star Alexandre Lacazette during the upcoming summer transfer window, and it appears that the Lyon attacker is open to a move abroad this summer.

In March, reports in France claimed that:

* LFC are considering a £10m 'cash offer' at the end of the season.

* The Reds have monitored Lacazette 'for most of the season'.

* Liverpool's scouts are impressed with the France international.

When asked specifically about Liverpool earlier today, 22-year old Lacazette told TuttoSport:

“I’m tempted to try and experience abroad at a big club. My contract with Lyon expires in 2016, so we must see what the president [Jean-Michel] Aulas will say and decide"

Some info about Lacazette:

* 22 years old.
* Can play on either wing, as a number 10, or up-front.
* Spent his entire career with Lyon.
* Three trophies with his club so far.

* 58 apps for various France youth teams.
* 2 apps for the senior national team.
* 2010: Winning goal for France in the Under-19 European Championship final.

* STATS: 34 goals/28 assists in 129 apps for Lyon.
* Goal/assist every 2.2 games.
* 2009-2014: Goal/assist every 119 minutes (League only)

Lyon coach Remi Garde is impressed with Lacazette's progress this season, and in February, he argued that the striker deserves 'another chance' with the France national team, and praised his progress this season. He told So Foot:

"He [Lacazette] has made great strides this season, and shown that he is the best French striker. His scoring record is like Zlatan Ibrahimović's, which shows the progress he has made"

Liverpool are sure to be linked with lots of versatile attacking players this summer, and the World Cup will inevitably throw-up a few hitherto unlinked targets.

If the Reds are indeed in the market for wingers/number 10-style attackers, then this seemingly throws further doubt on the futures of Aspas, Alberto, Suso etc.

  1. I think Alberto and Suso are more midfielders than wingers or forwards. I don't think many will shed many tears if Aspas leaves though.
