The Agent of Manchester City striker John Giudetti has confirmed that the talented Swedish is looking for a loan move to an English club, and with Liverpool arguably in need of another striker at Anfield, perhaps he'd be a good player to consider for the second half of the season?
Speaking to Radio Blu last night, Roberto Difanti - Giudetti's Agent - confirmed that a loan deal is on the cards, but rejected the possibility of a move to Italy:
"He [Giudetti] is back after injury and he's looking for a team, but I think his most likely destination will be in England"
The Liverpool Echo linked Liverpool with a move for the talented striker suring last summer's transfer window, during which the player also rejected a loan move to Seria A club Siena.
Giudetti is certainly highly regarded. PSG superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a big fan, as he revealed in a recent interview AD Sportwereld:
“We need to treat this talent with great care. He [Giudetti] is still young, but his actions show that he is already very good. Give him time, he has a bright future"
Giudetti underwent a successful loan spell at Feyenoord last year, where he grabbed an incredible 20 goals and 8 assists in 23 games, prompting boss Ronald Koeman to shower him with praise:
"I think that John can be as good as Zlatan Ibrahimovic. I've coached them both. Zlatan struggled a lot more than John to find his way in Netherlands. John is on the same level as players such as Wesley Sneijder and Rafael van der Vaart at that age".
That's high praise indeed. A loan deal to Anfield would seem to make sense for both Giudetti and Liverpool:
* He wants to move to a Premier League club.
* Given his age/experience, wages probably wouldn't be too excessive.
* Would fit nicely into the striker pecking order at LFC.
* Good competition for Sturridge, and especially Borini.
Worth a look?

No. Why help Man City developing their players? Now, with Sturridge in and Borini back from injury, I don't think that we need another striker. Lets develop our own players.
ReplyDeleteAnother quality he shares with Zlatan is that he's infinitely arrogant. Zlatan took a while to come into his own and it's only been since his Milan move that he's being held in high regard by the majority of football supporters. Personally I don't mind nobs in the squad because often the really talented players tend to be not the most likeable people. That said, with Borini and Sturridge in the squad as youngsters, I hope that if we sign another striker, it will be an old head that can come of the bench and make the difference and teach the young lads what he's learned over the years.
ReplyDeleteIf he wants a loan deal then I think we should go for it. Not much risk that way if he doesnt do great, and I do think we could do with another striker.
ReplyDeleteRobbie Fowler springs to mind here. Not coming off the bench but working with our strikers and showing them a thing or two. You can't teach instinct, though, but you can teach anticipation and what to look for. Fowler was brilliant at being in the right place at the right time, let's hope Melwood is the right place for him next.
ReplyDeleteThis guy is a real good prospect. I think we should send Yesil out to Holland too so he can get some 1st team experience.
ReplyDeleteI would not mind Guidetti in the team at all but would he play? I don't think so. And he would want to be played. IMO he is much better than Borini.
Agreed. Don't think he would play much though.
ReplyDeleteLooks like we need to beef up our MF. We need a big strong hard tackling player in the middle. With one average Joe gone we have another average JO in replacement.
ReplyDeletelol same usual story..sign this sign that! reading your titles might make people think that its you who is going to buy the players? lol seriously, how many of these players have liverpool actually bought?? please look for other titles instead of these childish titles haha sign him? sign him? hahahaha ok sign them jamie sign them hahaha
ReplyDeleteno way sign our own players ,not loan deals ,iam sick to death of fsg and rodgers slowly killing the club with average crap allen is the most overated player to ever pull on an lfc shirt imo,and the sooner rodgers realises him and his goldeboy are out of there depth the better it will be for the club aand if they can take the yanks with them better still january and the seasons over perfetic never in my life have i seen i worst team or manager represent lfc even souness reign was better than this, yesterday was a prime example the first half summed up the season
ReplyDeleteSuccess doesnt happen overnight, these things take time, you cant deny that we look a lot better than we did last year, what we are lacking is consistency. We have dominated a lot of games, and had we had a bit more guile and cutting edge we would have won those games that we drew or narrowly lost.
ReplyDeleteYes Allen hasnt been amazing, but you cant expect instant success from every player.
This is the kind of knee jerk reaction that I hate.
Just because FSG dont want to spend all there money, and want to invest is a bit more wisely doesnt mean we need to get rid of them. Had Dalglish not spent so much on average players, we would probably be in a lot better position.
Do not see Man City wanting to do Liverpool any favors i suppose if he is useless they would be happy to sell him.
ReplyDeleteReally do not care for another striker at present would like a winger or a Diame type to do a bit of bossing around in the midfield.
spot on.
ReplyDeleteSo you've never in your life seen a worse Liverpool team and manager. I'd like to throw one name in at this stage: Roy Hodgson
ReplyDeleteI could also help out naming a few poor players donning our shirt in the past few years who weren't nearly as talented as Allen is. Philipp Degen, Voronin, Dossena to name a few.
And as for you asking for new owners, would you please tell me who exactly is interested in buying the club right now. To me it seems obvious that the sheiks of this world look in other leagues right now as it is much easier to get a team in the CL there with a few hundred millions of money thrown at it instead of competing with quite a few other big spending clubs in England.
Furthermore I can recall those guys at Man City stating that them already having a new stadium was a mayor plus, one that made their decision to buy them a lot easier. We may be just not that much a mouth-watering proposition for some bored, super-rich guy, who needs a new plaything.
Spot on!
ReplyDeletei can deny we have been better than last season we have been sh1t and am sick of the dalglish excuse rodgers had the same squad and as spent another40 odd million with no improvment infact we have gone backwards last year we were unlucky in a lot of games this year we have just been trash and ,by all means you keep faith with rodgers but i have none left in him whatsoever he can take his tikka takka and shove it
ReplyDeleteSo what would your solution be? What manager (realistically) would come in and do a better job.
ReplyDeleteWe cant attract the big managers and big players at the moment, as we cant offer CL football, and thats ultimatley what players want.
I think we have shown a lot of improvement in terms of actually playing football, and not hoofing it to Andy Carthorse Carroll.
New playing styles take time to bed in. If we changed manager now, it would be a complete waste of time, and the new manager would spend the next six months trying to change the team to their style, and whilst adapting the players would make mistakes and take time to learn it, so we would have some dodgy results. Then you would probably come along and say the same thing about them. It would be an endless cycle.
see ian ayre is talkng absolute b0llocks again money is not a problem for lfc,we do not want sniejder ect,no doubt it will please all the fsg fans who believe every word they say naive
ReplyDeletewe would get a manager don,t kid yourself rodgers should have never got hired in the 1st place its like all his xmases have come at one ,well if i was him i would make the most of it because no big club will ever make the same mistake again with this bafoon ,absolutely clueless his records on a par with hodgeson yet this plank still as a job,and as for the football its so slow and boring we only pass the ball round the back 4 its like watching paint dry
ReplyDeleteSo, no actual constructive feedback on that...
ReplyDeleteI agree with the first point about not developing players for the opposition. Any loan signings should be significantly better than what we have available to us, to be worthwhile developing them at the expense of our own players.
ReplyDeleteI do feel that we need another striker still though. Partly because I don't have as much faith in Borini as the rest of you apparently do, but also because I think a good team has to be well stocked in matchwinners above and beyond all else.
believe me they are plenty of people who would jump at the chance to manage lfc only thing is they will not swallow fsg bullsh1t,thats why we ended up with a nobody
ReplyDeleteWho? You keep saying this, but you arent giving any names.
ReplyDeleteive just said people will come but not whilst fsg are riding shotgun even matinez turned us down because they lack ambition i find it strange that torres never gave kd 6 months when he took over but ,perhaps he was right about broken promises,i for one would not begrude suarez if he decided enough was enough at the end of the season
ReplyDeleteIf we brought in another top striker I wouldn't have anything against that.
ReplyDeleteFor me personally, the jury is still out on Borini. He looked pretty decent when played centrally (think he did only once for us). His movement is good, so lets give him a bit more time. After all, he's only 21.
I've been trying to get constructive answers and solutions out of him for weeks. Sadly my effort have been of no avail.
ReplyDeleteWe may have to accept that some people are best at moaning about everything while other may only want to see the negatives.
Robin Simovic is the next Zlatan ..he will cost around £1.5m
ReplyDeleteWheres the permanency in loan deals? I only like them if theres a definite option in place to buy, i felt sahins deal was all wrong from day one, the minute things didnt work the guy probably wanted out hence his feelers to dortmund, what we need are permanent, well scouted & assessed quality signings
ReplyDeleteYep, I can't see the point in getting him in on loan (now we've got Sturridge). We should either move for him permanently or give Borini more of a chance.
ReplyDeleteI watched Giudetti last season and he was terrific,,, would be a great addition to the squad,, but the ones from Feyenoord we really want are Pelle and De Vrij,,, Pelle is scoring for fun but unfortunately just signed a new deal with Feyenoord and De Vrij is superb and will be a main stay in the Dutch squad for years to come and will certainly be a lot cheaper compared to what we look to buy in the UK. Cheers. Law
ReplyDeleteNo the game summed up the season.. some good some bad..
ReplyDeleteAllen out.. Rodgers out .. FSG out.. zzzzzzz
Maybe you should have asked Santa for a different record at Christmas..
We need 4 out and out goalscorers, so far we have two, in SaS!
ReplyDeleteJury is still out on borini.. so maybe worth a punt, man city saw something in him. Not that we get many penalities but apart from Gerrard who is skilled at taking them in out first 11?
Think they did with Bellamy or was he a free by then??
ReplyDeleteLFC no need to get sign this player......REJECT PLAYER.
ReplyDeletevan gaal
ReplyDeletemaybe i should because i did not get one this xmas and imo it will be the same next xmas
