Prolific €10m LFC target admits: Make me an offer and "I will leave" - Bid?

Last season, Liverpool's midfielders struggled to score goals regularly, and that had a major negative impact on the club's league season. Signing a couple of goalscoring midfielders must surely be a priority over the next couple of months, and when it comes to potential signings, Spanish midfieldr Miguel Pérez Cuesta - aka 'Michu' has revealed that Rayo Vallecano's financial problems could force him to leave Spain this summer.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Michu several times this year, and speaking to Reporters recently, Michu - who grabbed 17 goals and 3 assists for Vallecano last season - said:

"If a good offer arrives for Rayo and me I will leave.

"Rayo are suffering from money problems and it is normal to analyse things in these circumstances, but personally I still do not have an offer on the table."

€10m-rated Michu is in the last year of his contract at Rayo, which means that sealing a deal should theoretically be easier.

Having watched him play quite a few times, Michu is a clearly a realistic target for Liverpool, and he is (arguably) a better option than Sweden's Rasmus Elm. What do you think - worth a bid?

  1. Get him NOW. Rasmus Elm is nothing but dead ball specialist with 0 dribbling or technique.

  9. this is the type of player that rodgers will buy. he will buy proper footballers, lads who can play the ball well on the ground, create chances and keep possession well. he will not be buying second rate players that kenny bought eg adam, downing, carroll.... i cant see adam getting much playing time, and this really excites me, he is slow, concedes possession, fouls regularly and tries these hollywood passes that normally end up as epic fails, and il be glad to see the back of him. cant wait to see what rodgers brings to the plate, and i will judge him fully when i see his transfers. onwards and upwards. 10. Michu seem to be a good striker with a hammer left foot. Liverpool can sell Carroll to Juventus for 20 million pounds and buy Michu for 6 million and still have spare cash to purchase another top player. Michu has more ball skills and gets into the six yard box often to finish off chances created by team mates. Michu is certainly better than the lazy donkey Carroll. Pichubwould be a good partner for Suarez. Common Brandon go for him and not waste time with the manure donkey Berbetov.

  14. I would take him over Elm any day of the week. But I have to say as a Swede that Elm is much better than you guys give him credit for. He has put in made some really good shifts for the Swedish national side but he has a tendency to become Mr Invisible on occasion. Good but not that good. On par with Henderson when we need another Suarez-type player.

  15. look at highlights from any player and they'll look good, you can't judge a player from watching a couple of minutes of some ones highlights when theres over 3420 minutes in a season, also when you watch half these foreign players highlights there taken agaist really bad teams some in cup games with lower league teams,  half theese players wouldnt get round a premier league defense and keeper so easily,

  16. Sigurdson (spelling) for £7m, Kalou (possibly) for free, decent players with a bit of flair, none of them British and all for less than we paid for Carroll.
I'd rather we followed Newcastle's signing policies than either Manc or Chelsea's as they don't pay a lot for quality.
Having said that, the new Arsenal front 3 of Podolski, Giroud & Van Persie has some potential!

  17. If rumours are to be believed, this guy has a low release clause. Definitely looks worth a punt. Rayo play a nice brand of football too.

  18. Defo what we need in the mid, as we may blame Andy C for not scoring, he had no assists at all, with his goals and assists, we will not need Downing/Adam/hendo.  However I did not seem to pick up any defensive impact as this guys is an attacking mid, I would still go for either Diame [powerhouse] and or Wanyama, cheap but dependable options.

Huntelaar may have a decent record last season but he's no good against decent defenders. Look at his time at RM and now in the euros. Would rather we went for the Croation guy Mandzukjich (or however you spell his name), but I'm sure his price will rise based on his pace and performance so far in the euros

Zapians group is being a perfect example of a method that has used Complexity to inspire and justify its approach to many of the common problems we face in Software development.

  23. I agree with some of you with Diame and Wanyama both have very good qualities, Tello for me would be a must, could be done, another would be Elia (spelling) another very skilful, quick player.
IMO we need a lot of pace in our team, we have lacked good, skilful and very quick players for a long time.
As for up front well lets just say as long as he is able to gel with Suarez then i will be happy, maybe Higuian, Bastos, Eduardo Vargas, usually plays on the wing but can score a lot of goals, so maybe use him in the middle, just some suggestions. Bring on next season.
