FT: VIDEO - Newcastle 2-0 LFC - Carroll's dive; Reina's red card; Cisse's goals

Newcastle are beating Liverpool 1-0 at half time in today's vital Premier League game.

Andy Carroll is a man under pressure at the moment; with only 1 league goal since October 2011, he's desperate for a goal, but but he's not going to help himself by cheating to try get one.

As the video below shows, Carroll dived to try and win a penalty in the first half, and was deservedly yellow carded for it.

What was he thinking?! It would've been easier to just stay on his feet and score.

Andy Carroll Dive Newcastle

I'm far more interested in the fact that SAMI HYYPIA has taken charge at Leverkusen than Carrolls attempts to get into the British Olympic Diving team to upstage Tom Daley.

I have a feeling that Hyypia is going to do well someone to watch in the next few years and someone who could well manage Liverpool in the future,

  4. Suarez and Gerrard bad influences on Carroll eh

  5. We're a team in pieces. Gerrard a shadow of his former self, Shelvey running around having no clue to his positional game (yet our best CM) and Spearing is  running around in no-mans land.

No way forward with Kenny. Please Henry relieve us of this shiite.

  6. We are just getting worse game by game. oh why oh why is sterling not even on the bench. Its like kenny dont wanna win. Spearing is just a little dwarf who is so average. Why do we run around like headless chickens and have always 2-3 players running at 1 opposing player. SHOCKING KENNY.......SORT IT OUT OR WE WILL LOSE AGAIN!!!!

  7. FOOLGLISH hasn't got a clue ??? The players don't know how too play football under this idiot FOOLGLISH !!! It's a DISGRACEFUL display...Please leave FOOLGLISH

  11. I am embarrassed to be watching this excuse for a Liverpool "team".

    ReplyDelete
  12. Kenny's no better than Roy. In fact Roy made us look like potential champions in comparison. Says it all really. Surely this must be the worst run for many decades?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Suarez and Carroll have been a utter letdown today.

    ReplyDelete
  14. A total DISGRACE......as per usual.

    ReplyDelete
  15. So has our central midfield. Gerrard's way past it. A Kop hero indeed but time has finally taken its toll. Spearing and Shelvey just isn't ready yet so we're in deep deep trouble. Our status as a top club is definitely and permanently over.

  16. I am loving this scoreline. Just because i want Kenny out.

  17. 25 minutes to go and Dalglish fans must be wetting themselves in delight. The way his "fantastic" team is playing is fabulously out of this world! The score? Oh that doesn't matter does it after all it IS KD directing this astounding show!....

  18. Roy Hodgson was vilified for some of the teams performances under his tenure. Well, we've had Wigan, Sunderland, Tottenham 4-0 away when it could have been worse even 11 v 11, & today v Newcastle is no better. Cannot believe what I am watching before me eyes but its ok as we've won the Carling Cup.

    ReplyDelete
  19. We have already lost Mate! They have absolutely no chance of scoring.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Give Kenny 10 more seasons coz he's a legend and by 2022 we'll be in the 2nd division after spending 1.5 billion.Long live Liverpool.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Don't worry. KD will have a bucket of excuses of why his world beating team didn't even score a goal let alone win a match. Liverpool are finished!

GREAME DALGLISH AS MANAGER, CARRA IN CENTRAL DEFENCE , GERRARD IN CENTRAL MIDFIELD AND CARROL CENTER FORWARD AN UNBELIEVEABLY SOFT CENTRE.... WHAT ELSE CAN WE EXPECT.

John Henry will soon be joining the resistance............watch this space

  23. cant tackle, cant pass, cant dribble, cant run, cant cross, cant shoot.

No not just carroll, but the entire team of spineless chokers and serial letdown merchants.

But the 'King' is in 'charge' so all this is acceptable is it? he should be sacked in the morning, but wont be, and the farce will roll on.....

    ReplyDelete
  24. He had to dive. After all he IS a Dalglish favourite and whatever he does he MUST NOT score a goal! That would upset KD's idea of this team being absolutely "right" for moving forward.

    ReplyDelete
  25. That Charlton side are making newcastle look like world beaters!.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Im guessing the Carling Cup might be next to him in the post match interview? gentle reminder of course that despite this being the worst team for many years "progress"  is being made

  27. If rafa was still around would this be happening? I dont understand how people couldn't see that firing him was jus wrong in all aspects, second jus dont understand why people are surprised at what is happening now, surly no could tell that the likes of dowing etc were not fit for liverpool before a ball was kicked? Wake up people, all liverpool need is Rafa back!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Commoli recently came out & said Liverpool have many summer transfer targets who want to join because "they believe in the project." Damian please tell me this project doesn't involve Championship football as that's what it looks like currently. BIG questions need to be asked without rhetoric that this is a successful season because of a cup win & semi. Downing was NEVER as £20mill player, Carroll was NEVER a £35mill player & the less said about Henderson the better.

  29. Carroll off the down the tunnel with a hissy fit, bless.

  30. Carroll and Bellamy off with 11 minutes to go. Unfortunately it is a pity we can't substitute Dalglish!

REINA'S OFF KENNY WILL USE THIS AS THE EXCUSE AND THAT WE WERE GOING TO WIN HAD REINA NOT BEEN SENT OFF.....KENNY HAS TO GO AT THE END OF THE SEASON...NO IF NOT BUTS NO MAYBES...

ALSO YOU SHOULD ALL KNOW THAT COMOLLI WAS SUMMONED TO BOSTON THIS WEEK TO MEET ....JOHN HENRY ...SOMETHING HOPEFULLY IS AFOOT...THIS CAN't CARRY ON INTO NEXT SEASON ..SOMETHING MUST BE DONE .

Since that statement from Comolli he's been summoned to Boston to meet John Henry and Tom Werner this week.
I think Kenny will be dismissed from his Job at the end of the season and with performances like this, the shrill, sound of the 'GIVE HIM TIME' brigade will grow quiet.

Honestly Enrique in Goal cus Kenny made his SUBS?
If this alone doesn't show Kenny is out of his depth I don't think anything will .

  42. Now let me not be a fire starter and i know alot of
yous including Jamie arent Rafa fans, but tell me this, if rafa was not fired
would liverpool be in its current state? Truth of the matter is that ever since
Kenny left back in the late 80s the best thing liverpool have ever done is
bring Rafa to liverpool, I say this with all due respect to previous liverpool
managers particularly Houllier (who in myopion layed a foundation at liverpool)
because ever since rafa took over he made us relevant in world soccer/ european
soccer Fact!!!, lets not even talk about the Champs final in 05, but how we
managed to compete with the best of them in Europe, beat Barca at the Nou Camp,
beat Real Both home and away, Beat Inter Milan both home and way, the list is
endless, and he gets fired for one poor season where we did actually reach the
semi final of the Europa, where if not for luck should have reached the final
(bearing in mind we didnt even haVe Torres for that match). Granted Rafa made
mistakes but we all do even the greatest managers make them too, rafas biggest
mistake was Alonso who he had signed by the way, so lets not just discredit him
for losing such a player lets also look at the fact that he discovered and
brought such talent to liverpool, My question to all is if Rafa had the same
backing as does Kenny have from our owners and has the same Financial means
available to him, who do u honestly believe would be playing for liverpool????
considering players like silva, mata and even villa were seriously being talked
about coming. As much you may despise him he made us relevant again
    FACT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  45. 31 pts off top spot, 13 pts off 4th, 9 pts from a relegation fight.

5 defeats in last six prem games.

Worst points tally in 10 years

Worst goal scoring record in 10 years

Now someone tell me we are making progress under Dalglish - It is actually quite horrible seeing one of your idols mess things up so badly but what is worse is that no one can admit he is way out of his depth and has been the wrong man from the start. Dalglish will always be a hero to me because of the 80s - but he has tarnished his own reputation and needs to step down this summer - and not do any more press conferences / interviews!

  50. It's good to hear that Commoli was summoned to Boston but 11pts behind Newcastle it is too late. I consider this season an abject disaster it really is, even a cup win cannot disguise the fact for this once great club. Commoli was a failure at Tottenham & quite why Liverpool need a sporting director or whatever his title may be I'll never know.

I thought KD was an emotional choice on a wave of positive results when we didn't really have anything riding on it. Sadly his reputation may end in tatters because of his spiky relationship with the press & this blindness to facts - Swansea can go above us now & we still have to play them away!

  59. For all the anguish everyone is obviously feeling, it needs to be put into some perspective:
    - intentional hand ball missed by the ref early on, should have been a penalty and a send-off- first goal in off the post, and LFC have had more goals out off the post than any other team this year- second goal clearly offside, no question- reina didn't touch perch, the red card was an absolute con. watch the replays a few times, you can see the daylight between their heads

Maybe talking about bad luck is taboo now, we'll just be portrayed as whingers, but there are three massive decision in that game that went against us. you can't control that, not as manager and not as a player. they're real mistakes made by the ref and they did certainly cost us in the game.

still, it's the same old story when we just didn't look like scoring. every half-chance is spurned, Carrolls dive was ridiculous, we didn't deserve to win. but the end result is more a reflection of some pretty ordinary refereeing. liverpool had their moments and it's not completely hopeless. this is a run of very bad form which is now turning into the lowest possible confidence. we're still a good team and we can still play good football. when it comes together it will be much better than this.

Clutching onto officials errors is just delaying the inevitable, which is that this is a seriously flawed side KK has built.

    ReplyDelete
  62. We cannot use those incidents as an excuse I'm afraid when your £35mill striker is in on goal & dives. We've had enough time to sort this out now & still we are not taking our chances.

    ReplyDelete
  63. If & it's a big IF...Mourinho is to leave Real Madrid, the Liverpool owners have to get him in. We cannot go back to Rafa & I don't believe we will. Mourinho will be the inspiration to shake this club out of a 2 decade slumber & I thnk he'd spend £100mill more wisely.

    ReplyDelete
  64. who has the guts to sack him i wonder?????? he's not man enough to step down gracefully either no matter what he's done for LFC , clearly he doe'nt know his preferred eleven or formation this is even worse position than last year

    ReplyDelete
  65. I do not care what you all think but KK is a F$%^&$g joke he destroyed Newcastle when he was there and now he is killing our club, to all you KD fans you know shit about football, again we were down 2-0 and he waited for the 75min to make a change. F Me Pardew put on Ameiobe, a f#$%^&g striker before KD changed anything. He knows shit about managing. He hasn't a clue he is lost on the sidelines, i could only pray that Gerrard puts in a transfer request so he can maybe add a premiership medal, just for  him because he has given everything to the club and all bullshit aside we are going nowhere KK has seen to that.
Can anyone really argue, he has spent a f$%k load of money on SHIT SHIT SHIT.. i hope the owners sack him i really do. Hey so called KING KENNY congratulations mate you have become the only person to be bigger than LFC itself. Stevie G move on while you can you deserve better and Suarez, Coates, Doni, Maxi, Aurellio and Enrique all you guys should leave too and leave LFC to the joke that is KING KENNY and his band of English men.

I knew we would struggle at the beginning of the season but not this bad. Im afraid dalglish has to go at the end of the season. Carroll summed it up what f****** right does he have to be pissed off...spolit brat and wish i never seem he in a red shirt again.

    Its started........

How can you begin to make excuses for a team that had no balance, flair, bite, heart, shape, intelligence, threat, composure, pride, guile, heart, passion, integrity, leadership, killer instinct, creativity, quality, confidence and self respect?

Do you think it is a good idea to focus on one negative when we as a team displayed so many?

Fans talk about Kenny's current reign as though it is a 'fine wine' with the usual 'give it more time' to mature rhetric.  The grapes have gone sour people, they started to turn as soon as as Carroll, Downing, Henderson were identified as the answer when the question posed to Dalgish was so much deeper.

We as supporters/apposers should be ashamed if we are only concentrating on the supporting side of our role in the team.  The ying/yang aspect of supporting is what keeps our teams/countries/nations in check.

    We are the resistance..............

    ReplyDelete
  79. The second goal was from offside /no one seem to be mentioning it here, so may be I am wrong/; Perch cheated.  Still, we deserved to loose!

    We would need:
    - more flair players like Ben Arfa, which is the equivalent of less British players;
    - more cynical scorer /well, at least one/;
    - a more continental philosophy with patient passing, careful build-up of attacks and high pressing, rather than the simplistic, direct approach;
    - better motivation or is it better fitness, as usually they go hand-in-hand or just the return of the Liverpool spirit, i.e., play for win in every game regardless of the stake;
    - fit Agger and Lucas and Johnson /or at least Kelly/;
    - a bit of luck, at least in most games of the previous games, not referring to this one against Newcastle.

It becomes tougher and tougher to defend Kenny's position.  He seems less and less able to arrest the free fall we are in at the moment.  The guy is not convincing me he can deliver under huge pressure.  Hope, I am wrong, as I would give him an extra season at least.

    YNWA!

    ReplyDelete
  80. he didnt dive, he tripped over himself, again. I spend half my wage to watch what? Feel like asking for my money back, the club should be offering compo to its supporters. Sort it out!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  81. all i'm saying is that LFC, at their worst, with decisions going against them, only gave up one legitimate goal that had to sneak in off the post. it's not a flogging and the team is not as bad as everyone wants to think. it's hard to watch, obviously, but confidence is shattered and players are not even close to their normal levels.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Did you like the style of football we played under Roy? Both him and Kenny have negative nineties English football mindsets. Personally, I will always support Liverpool but I just think that the modern game has moved so far past the style of play we have been employing that I am embarrassed watching us. Pass and move the liverpool way? I'm not seeing it.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Poor excuses....this is the kind statements that have let the team get to where they are today. i think some people are banking too much on the fa cup and without that there cannot be any urgents ref managers position. By the way where the hell waz raheem today?? Im just lost as a fan at the moment.

    ReplyDelete
  84. People need to let go of the 35 million, it's over, it's gone, we spent it. Carroll wasn't a 35 million pound player when we bought him. I knew that, you knew it, Kenny knew it. It was obvious. Just accept that we massively over-spent and get over it. He is what he is: a half-decent young player with the potential to be more.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Tripped over himself in front of an open goal, maybe the ref just booked him for being cack?

    ReplyDelete
  86. We all know in football that contracts mean nothing bar the compensation package. He may not come to Liverpool but that's what we need. Brendan Rodgers has been mentioned, but after one good season I'm not sure that's the pedigree we need, not to say he couldn't do it. Liverpool's problems run deep after so many years of "final pieces of the jigsaw." Will take more than a strong man to sort this.

    ReplyDelete
  87. No. Why should we. At the end of the day, part of KK's performance as manager is signings.

    ReplyDelete
  88. on one hand 'is not as bad as everyone wants to think' and on the other hand 'confidence is shattered and players are not even close to their normal levels'

Hmm, contradictory in some ways, depending on view.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I am over it but that is the fact that will be rammed down KD's throat.

    ReplyDelete
  90. well... not really, if you have the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Alves...  The present Barca team could accommodate 3-4 of Kenny's British buys and still beat a team like Newcastle.

    ReplyDelete
  91. what did he do in the game bar blunder the best chance to take the lead by cheating?

    ReplyDelete
  92. 5 defeats in 6 games? closer to relegation than 4th in terms of points? how much did he spend this year? think your in denial, and your insults display it.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Roy never had the chance - Dalglish has been backed by stable owners, pundits / friends in the media, financially, and his own players have come out and defended him - who did any of that for Roy?

    Fan hypocrisy is truly unbelievable.

    ReplyDelete
  94. gutted, i am dreading the semi-final, love you kk, but losing faith in your players fast....show conviction and cast them aside.

  96. Are you serious? Let's be clear about one thing: you being angry and upset and have a good whinge is NOT important and it most certainly is NOT going to keep LFC "in check". You're trying to justify your own need to wallow in self pity because you're football team lost and you don't like it. That's pretty ridiculous. By all means be angry and upset but don't try and make out like you're better than other supporters who don't choose to engage in the same childish bullshit.

  97. there is a seperate debate regarding Mourinho and his suitability to the Liverpool way, but that aside us targeting him as a manager is wishful thinking. We may as well be trying to bid 20million for Messi while we are at it.

Alex...if you want to give Kenny another season as manager then I can assume that if it were your money and you were John Henry you'd hand over another stash of cash?

    ReplyDelete
  101. People still believe in KD? Must be mad. LFC are worse than ever and its defeat after defeat. KD will have the team relegated next season and that will be the end of LFC.

    ReplyDelete
  102. So, this is where Liverpool are now then that it's wishful thinking to consider appointing a top coach? I respect your point of view but if we are to become a top club again, that's how the owners need to think. I agree with you in the fact that would he come? Well that's down to the owners to convince him. He took an average Inter team with a couple of top players to a trophy laden few seasons, he for me is the man.

I've noted a certain kind of fan emerge.
They look for the flake of gold in a ton of faeces, then  insist the smell is wonderful.

The table doesn't lie it's that simple the performance reflect the manager.
Anyone, who knows ANYTHING about football in ANY England,Spain.Italy,Germany,Netherlands...YOUR ARE JUDGED ON YOUR LEAGUE PERFORMANCES.

You cannot hide behind cup runs, words of enthusiasm, woodwork, legendary status, offsides, media chums or NOSTALGIA.

Shankly stated that the LEAGUE IS YOUR BREAD AND BUTTER.

I clearly remember some of the very fans on here who have the gall to post about given Managers a chance, when they said exactly the same about Hodgson.
Only after he was removed did they say it was the right thing well here we are AGAIN.

Now we clearly have a MAJOR problem with the current occupant of the Managers role, again fans are retreating but still saying give it time and money.
    WRONG.

Football is a sport and a business, if the owners in John Henry are to make a decision about the incumbent at the end of the season it will be based on business.
If it's business then Dalglish MUST BE REMOVED AT THE END OF THE SEASON.

I'm sure IF Kenny Dalglish has the best interest of LFC at heart  he'd RESIGN and judging by the GAUNT look, his unkempt hair and unshaven appearance, his defensive posturing, ascorbic caustic manner this is taking it's toll on a man in his 60's.

He must either admit he made HUGER errors in his purchasing and move those players on in the summer.
    Or he himself MUST leave.

There is bloody minded, stubborn, then ignorant.
I'll leave you to make your own assessment on what Kenny Dalglish is.

  104. Think we we talkin bout the run and  not the conditions mangers find themseleves, Roy knew what he geittin himself into and he was not up to task thats another story, in any case, Its RAFA who am saying should have never got the sack ,

Trying reading in context, it helps

  109. I actually agree with you regarding Rafa... however I dont agree with this seperation of Roy and Kenny as the latter has had more favourable circumstances in which to work and has produced the same results.

Conditions have everything to do with how one performs, Roy had a legal battle going on and uncertainity over owners, he had fans chanting his name for the England job, and no one came out and defended him like Carragher and pundits have done with Kenny.

Whatever way we look at it, there will be a number of years that will pass before we are back at the level Rafa had us, never mind the level we want to be which is to be on top of the league... the wait will go on.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Agreed, but there is no way he would join Liverpool, consider you are a footballer and have a short career, are you going to risk the chance of success by joining a rebuilding project when there are better suitors who are after you? That is the same with Jose Mourinho - any coach that come in will need money for his own squad and not to work with the current team - if Fenway can provide it fair enough - but Jose is at Real Madrid and coming to LFC is a step down for him. It hurts me to say that as a LFC fan but it is the truth.

Septimus, our aim was top 4.  The irony is we could end up in the bottom 4.  I take your point but why wait for such humiliation

    ReplyDelete
  114. Did Hodgson lose 8 out of 12 league games? Did he lose 3 in a row twice? Did he draw 8 games at home? Did he spend 117m on players? Did he have every advantage under the sun plus supportive owners and a stable club behind him?! No. Liverpool did not go through something 'very similar' under Hodgson at all. This is much much worse. You have to look at things in relative terms; Hodgson did far better than Dalglish overall. The only area in which KD is better is performances, but that has made no difference whatsoever.

    ReplyDelete
  115. A more than fair comment. I agree it is so easy to be generous and opinionated with someone else's money.  You made me think hard about my position.  The question is not only whether Kenny is sacked but who will replace him.  A Hodson of this world will be ruinous, but are strong non-British coaches available (I would personally love Bielsa, despite Bilbao's league position).

To be honest, I love Guardiola's series of one year deals... sit calmly at the end of the season, review the previous one, cool-headedly understand what went wrong and what went right, then consider the job for the next year.  A bit short-term/ish/ approach but well within an accepted general framework of shared values and football philosophy between the manager and the Board.  Well, free market at its best.

Overall, Kenny's reign to date is far from one sided... his results and football played -- better than RH's.  His net spent, if true what I read, will be paid back by lower wage bill /did not research this one myself/ and is in line of the coming financial fair play rules.

Now to come to your question... if Kenny can convince me he understands his mistakes and learns from them, then yes, I would be inclined to give him cash to strengthen the team.  But again, this is hypothetical, and easy for me to speculate.

On a slightly different note - the most important is the Academy.  Barcelona is great not because of purchasing Sanchez, but because their Academy produces real talent.  Even in this respect, Rafa was forward thinking... but again, would we like to reinstall him now?

Like I've said since Kenny was confirmed manager "watch out for the man who replaced Faustino Asprilla with Andreas Anderson and Stephane Guivarch and who replaced Ginola with the now departed Gary Speed"

I was never under any allusions about the type of player Kenny would bring in.  I knew from day one he would try and replicate his Blackburn team Hence Downing/Wilcox Henderson/Ripley Carroll/Shearer.

Again, like I've always said on here I like football, I don't love it, that's what families are for.  Footy is a game I enjoy and a game I am completely objective about.  If you can see signs of anger in my post then you have quite clearly read between the wrong lines.  Ironically your response to my response is exactly displays the same "angry" and "upset" emotions that you wrongfully accuse me of being.

I challenge you to find a post where I use such vocabulary free words such as "bullshit" stemmed from my increasing anger at Kenny's reign.  You probably won't find one.  But good luck in your quest.

    I'll see you in court......

  117. Now peoples blinkers are finally are coming off!

No tactics, no creativity, no hunger, no goals, average players...the list goes on.

Adam, Carroll, Downing, Hendo please just leave the club.

Their lack of desire and passion is why they are average at best.

The owners need to make a decision or we will be in a hole so deep it will take years before we come out.

Kenny did well do get us out of relegation last year but it is time for him to go.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Can you believe he's still here.....glad seasons ending otherwise we'd be looking at relegation

sack him for his own good

roberto martinez if not RAFA to take over

    ReplyDelete
  119. I am no fan of Carrol but looking at it from all angles,I think it looked as if he actually stumbled and overran the ball! and fell over doing it. I have only seen a replay of the incident,so Q; Did he actually try to claim a penalty ?

    ReplyDelete
  120. Thats not true when you say he took an average Inter team to titles..When he took over, Inter were defending champions and he then added Etoo and Sneider who then helped defend the Serie A title for 2 more seasons before he left.

    ReplyDelete
  121. You haven't a clue

A manager is supposed to leave one sub on the bench in case keeper is red carded?

    Read your post again

    ReplyDelete
  122. Rafa was removed by former owners to make a sale of club an easier task

Perception was that he was out of control, they removed him so that new owners woudn't have to make such an unpopular move

They put a lame duck in his place, someone who would be easy to sack if needed

    ReplyDelete
  123. Mourinho will only go somewhere run by an oligarch or petro billionaires

    Man city will nab him

    ReplyDelete
  124. To be fair there was only 7 mins left when Pepe got sent off, and in the majority of matches most managers have used all 3 subs by then.

He gets slated when he doesn't use his subs early enough and now your slating him because he used them too early and somehow should have anticipated the keeper been sent off..

Whatever criticisms people may level at Kenny this one is a bit of a stretch mate .. seriously give over.

    ReplyDelete
  125. think it is you who doesnt have a clue - the final sub is used in case of keepers being sent off or injuries to players who cannot continue. When was the last time you saw three subs in one go to change a game? it just shows how wrong the tactics were in the first place... ok Kenny was chasing the game so needed to make a change but larger question here is if you are trying to change a game why bring on Stewart Downing?

    ReplyDelete
  126. Well, i hope some of our players are happy with themselves....Reina Suarez, Enrique Kuyt and Lucas are sure to get their wish....Kenny Dalglish a LFC legend is a laughinstock, just like Roy he is drinking from the poisoned challice....the one left at the Club by Rafa Beinitez in the form of his loyal clique of players..........

Well done Rafa, well done Reina, congrats Suarez for getting sucked into the game....and helping to make Kenny look like a total fool.....

These guys should be given oscars for their "performances".....

Things could have been very different this season IMO, had we not thrown away so many games.......

Can't believe that people are so blind that they cannot see this, gutted for Kenny tbh, i know he's made mistakes this season but to see him standing on the sidelines looking so helpless after Reina departed.... was saddening beyond words.......

Im not angry, just sad that its come to this, and frustrated that people don't realise that Kennys managerial role this season has been sabotaged........

Its not a coincidence that fans are now calling for Rafa......he never left......he's still working "hard" behind the scenes....must be music to his hears (and EGO...) when he reads how sections of the fanbase are wishing him to return......

SO, we hound out a LFC legend who's career has been sabotaged by Rafa's  "players"....???

Way to go fellow Liverpool supporters or should i say Rafa supporters....this time you have really surpassed yourselves.....blinkered and still full of blind faith for the man who can do no harm to LFC.....

    LOL.

And before i get clusterfcuked for making these comments, remember that i have not excused Kenny his part in this, but the way i see it is that NO MANAGER can work under these conditions.....

Of course Carroll was overpriced, i agree that Adam has been hit or miss, i also agree that Hendo cost too much.....

BUT there is for sure a bigger picture here, no one wants to see it though.....why? Because it means re directing some of our anger and blame......

Once again i say, the situation at the Club between certain players and manager is unworkable......

Changes needed in the summer, we all know that, but what changes???

I know exactly who i'd get rid off.....i just hope FSG know too.

    ReplyDelete
  127. No arguement there Jamie but my real point is that it was never like this under rafa, which is y am saying it was plain old silly to fire him, even when things were bad it was never like this nor as bad as when Roy was in charge, sorry to say but rafa was the best thing that happened to liver ever since the last time kenny was in charge, and we paying for letting him go massively

    ReplyDelete
  128. Theycallmemrburt7:38 pm, April 01, 2012

very true.  We have returned to having a 5-a-side mentality.  What is needed in training is drills so that everyone knows their job in every situation.  Unfortunately 5-a-sides don't teach you that.  The game has moved on.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Theycallmemrburt7:41 pm, April 01, 2012

I want Hodgson back with Souness as his number two or vice-versa.  As long as it is a combination of the two I'll be happy.

    ALL IS FORGIVEN.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Not sure why he went down, it's as if he expected contact. Open goal, don't get it

We should have had a penalty for the hand ball on 16 minutes, plus a red card for Simpson, and the 2nd goal was 3 yards offside

Wish offside rule had never changed, it's a farce

Same old story today, we shoulda been 2 up early on. Our only real problem is sticking the ball in the net and it has cost us countless times

Carroll has created over 26 chances for team mates, they're not being converted

We need to sign another striker, promote Sterling, sign a RW, a centre half. Carra past it and Skrtel having n awful time

He was at fault for first goal, 3 yards behind defensive line

Owners will decide fate of Comolli, Dalglish etc

Everyone needs to relax and stop calling for Kenny's head, a few small tweaks in the summer and we'll be ok

    ReplyDelete
  131. Which Rafa players are you referring to?

    Not a lot left......

    ReplyDelete
  132. "Super Coach" Mourinho does it all time when he's behind, sometimes as early as half time

    ReplyDelete
  133. Guardiola's one year deals allow him to keep control of things

Bielsa or Rafa for me, if the unlikely happens

Bielsa is totally unpredictable, sometimes playing strange formations, 3-1-3-3 for example,

Rafa would have the chance to finish what he started with academy

This is all hypothetical of course, Kenny should stay

    ReplyDelete
  134. Reina Lucas and Kuyt with new "recruits" Suarez and Enrique......obviously Torres was very much a part of it too....

Add Glen to that list also.......

You see, its very easy for someone to dismiss what im saying as conspiracy shite....but IF anyone really wants to know why we are where we are as a Club right now..........it is because of a rift in players........a clique that developed due to Rafa's abysmal handling of certain players.........he was and is IMO a very ruthless individual and unsettled players, created fear in the dressing room and got rid of anyone who stood up to him..........

What he couldn't do though was get rid of Gerrard and Carra ....because they were legends at the Club esp after Istanbul though he did want to IMO.....he played Gerrrard out of position constantly to spite him....he treated Carra with the same contempt, because they stood up to him....

The problem we have now is that we have a divided squad.....Reina along with others....is fighting Rafa's cause....and has been since he left, Roy fell and it didn't take the clique long to get rid of him.....

Kenny arrived along with Suarez and then Carroll, Suarez was outstanding up to the summer......but then something changed......he started this season but looked nothing like the player we signed, he has continued in this veign of form or lack of.......all season....got himself involved in a nasty charge of racism got banned for 8 games and dragged Kenny and the Club through the mire.....until the owners stepped in....and an apology was iisued etc....

So IMO Reina and his clique of Lucas etc have recruited Suarez and got him onboard.....might sound a bit far fetched to some but i have watched each and every game this season and the same pattern of skewered passes, missed chances leaked goals.....etc etc etc etc....esp in the league....the Cup games have seen an improvement though for soem strange reason....maybe it is because this clique of players knows that Kenny WILL BE JUDGED ON THE LEAGUE POSITION.....as is the case atm by the fanbase.......

Obviously others could argue that it might have been the fact that Kenny didn't want Aquilani and Raul.....that created the problem of disenchantment etc or whatever....but for me thats not true because the clique of players had already helped topple Roy who actually brought Raul to the Club......

As i said earlier i believe 100% that Rafa is indirectly behind this trainwreck of a season.....and it wouldn't have mattered who we got as manager after Roy they would have been hounded out also....IMO these "players" have a lot to answer for........

    ReplyDelete
  135. Hodgson was a patsy, stuck in there as an easy target for new owners, whoever they may have been, to sack if they wanted

His demeanour was embarrassing. His deference to Alex Ferguson was embarrassing. He didn't defend Torres after he was accused of diving

I thought he would be ok for us, but he seems better suited to managing the underdog

    ReplyDelete
  136. Its not just Reina, Lucas , Suarez and the other foreign players. I heard Dr Evil, Darth Vader, General Zod, Hanibal Lecter, Cobra Kai, IT the Clown, Predator, Gozer and Kurgon from Highlander are all in on it as well - they have been working for Rafa and are part of his evil ploy to out the King! Good work Mitzu - think your on to something here...

    ReplyDelete
  137. Wow - this is by far the best thing I have heard this season, If I have one wish it is for a publishing company to give you a budget to research this further and write a book on the matter - you would enlighten millions of fans with your observations. Im on board with your theory, I cant believe Rafa is doing this, it all makes sense.

Lucas injuring himself - Rafa told him to do it to ruin the league form this season.

Suarez being a racist - we know he is not but Rafa is up to his old tricks again brainwashing the new players.

Pepe Reina - it makes sense know, he has perfected how to attempt to save something but let the majority go in.

Kuyt - its now obvious when he plays why he misplaces passes, to make Kenny look bad!

Luckily for us the good ole Brit lads dont want any part of this foreign ploy - the likes of Carra and Stevie have been like Knights in shining armour defending the King from the evil plot to get rid of him.... and Downing, Carroll , Adam and Henderson will not fall subject to Rafa's evil plan.

Keep up the good work Mitzu - you are a really smart guy.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Great imagination dude.....

Do you also have views on Kennedy assassination, whether we actually landed on moon etc? Please share

There is no Rafa, therefore your argument is quite feeble

    ReplyDelete
  139. Say what your like....i am as entitled to my opinion as much as the blinkered herds....

Where ignorance is bliss....an all that.

Rafa IS behind this divided squad IMO, Reina IS  doing his dirty work.....along with others...

Rafa uses people like pawns to get what he wants.....so far i have to give him credit for his efforts.....clearly he is winning this particular game......thanks to his pawns.....

    ReplyDelete
  140. What do you mean there is no Rafa? Did he die all of a sudden? Did he leave Merseyside? Did he find a job?

Of course there is a Rafa, he's right there on Merseyside......

There was a reason why Shankly was banned from Melwood after he retired......

Reina (along with certain others) is definitely doing Rafa's dirty work IMO, you can try to mock what i say but the truth is Reina's form has been very very questionable this season...

Even to day when he got sent off no one was asking why the hell he didn't look for the counter attack.....with the ball in his hands.......2-0 down.....only so much time left......but no he turns around and runs back into the goal to physically confront a player who did little else than try and trip him.....

Add to that how he hasn't been coming out of his goal....and dealing with crosses.....letting the ball through his legs repeatedly.....and yet you label me as a fantasist.....LOL you are the fantasist if you can't see a player or players.....trying their collective upmost to throw games all season.......

And it just so happens that the key culprits.....are ALL Rafa fans........

    How very convenient........

    NOT.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Yes im sure you do think im onto something....thats why you are doing your level best to discredit my posts.....

    ReplyDelete
  147. Yes, all the people talking about patience on Wednesday are quiet on Monday. Seems to have become a weekly routine.

    ReplyDelete
  148. If Rafa is behind it, what happens to all his detailed planning if FSG remove Dalglish and then bring in someone else? And wouldn't they be slightly put out about this and ensure that he was never able to return after destabilising the side? The fact that the KD loyalists are not playing any better than the agents of Rafa is a problem also.

Thing that was most embarrassing of all, more than the dive, was Gerrard shouting to his boss to get off the pitch. Dalglish looked a little lost at that time and I felt sorry for him. Either the manager or many of the players have to be moved on at the end of the season, it is rare that owners side with the manager, particularly as he is the one who brought a lot of the failing players in. Besides, it is easier for an owner to hope that one man change make a difference rather than accept taking a hit of millions of pounds in order to be loyal to the guy who wasted the money.
