Star Striker with 'heart set on Liverpool' reveals his transfer DECISION...

The Agent of Marseille striker Loic Remy claimed last week that the France International still harboured a 'dream' of playing in the English Premier League. That may be true, but over the weekend, Remy rejected any possibility of a move during the January transfer window, and even hinted that he'd see out the remainder of his contract

Liverpool tried to sign Remy last Summer, and during the negotiations, his agent revealed that the striker had 'his heart is set on playing for Liverpool'.

It's all change now though. Speaking after Marseille's 2-0 victory over Lille on Sunday, Remy - who scored both goals - reaffirmed his commitment to Marseille:

"I'm staying. I will 100 per cent stay at Marseille until the end of the season and even the end of my contract.

"I have spoken with the president and the staff. And it would not be right for me to leave this club. We'll see next summer, but that's not even in my head for now.

"Even if it's good that some clubs have an interest in me, I agree with my bosses not to pay the slightest attention to it until June. We will ask questions after the end of the championship.

"It is also a mark of respect to the fans not to talk about leaving during the transfer window. They count on me. I still have to progress a lot here."

  1. we had the chance to get him prior to his OM move. there were some doubts about a particular problem he had i seem to remember, something fairly serious. how kenny must wish he took a punt for 15m instead of buying the lumbering donkey AC.

  2. I think we should sign a player who has the desire to play for Liverpool. Sow as admitted to wanting to playing for Liverpool and scoring infront of the kop with him being last years top goalscorer last year i wouldn't mind him coming for an exchange with joe cole and 5M.

  3. We were interested in him when Hodgson became the boss, but the price was too much for H&G and their puppet Roy
