Hillsborough e-Petition: Sign it now and show your support for the truth

In a recent decision welcomed by all Liverpool fans, and football fans in general, the Information Commissioner ruled that full disclosure of all documents relating to the Hillsborough disaster would be in the public interest. This is inarguably correct, and any fair-minded individual would surely agree. However, the Cabinet Office has launched an appeal against the ruling to stop the documents being made available.

If successful, the Cabinet Office's appeal would stop (amongst other things) reports presented to the prime minister of the time, Margaret Thatcher, from being made public.

An e-petition has been created on the government's website calling for the "full disclosure of all government documents relating to 1989 Hillsborough disaster", and as we all know, if it receives 100,000 signatures, the motion would automatically have to be discussed by parliament.

As of ten minutes ago, the petition had pas 52,420 signatures, so if you haven't already, please head over to the site and add your own signature, and encourage everyone you know with internet access to do the same.

SIGN THE PETITION HERE

Whatever the nature of the documents under question, they must be made public, so please sign the petition now!

Please retweet/share on facebook or do whatever you can to spread the word.

  10. I watched the events unfold on the tv and could not believe what was happening and for years I yearned for JUSTICE to be carried out from the top down.

As a human being and a Liverpool fan since I was 16 (now in my 50s ) I long for Justice for the FAMILIES of those affected and it cannot come soon enough for me.

God Bless the families and the people of Liverpool
