REVEALED: The player who scored 17 hat-tricks for Liverpool FC

Many great strikers have scored hat-tricks for Liverpool down the years but which player has achieved the incredible feat of 17 hat-tricks in nine full seasons?

Between 1926 and 1936, South African striker Gordon Hodgson scored an incredible 17 hat-tricks for Liverpool, including a stunning 4 hat-tricks in a single season (1930-1931). Ian Rush managed 16 hat-tricks but even Liverpool's most prolific striker could not beat Hodgson's record.

Hodgson scored hat-tricks against the following clubs:

  1. No one on the current squad can compete with those record as long as Rafa still managing Liverpool.
    First of all he usually play cautious style after the team take a lead.
    secondly, he usually subs out the scorer when we lead by 2-3 goals.
    then, who could possibly get hattrick under these circumstances.
