'The Terminator' to Anfield? Liverpool reps fly out to watch 'fantastic' €36m striker

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly considering a summer move for one of Porto's high-flying attacking players.

In November, Liverpool were linked with 'fantastic' Porto striker Moussa Marega, and it appears that Klopp remains interested in signing the powerful goalscorer. According to German newspaper Bild:

"Scouts from Liverpool and Tottenham have watched Porto striker Moussa Marega several times this season. Borussia Dortmund are also interested in a summer deal".

When asked recently about Marega's future, Vitoria President Julio Mendes told reporters:

"Of course, we want to keep him this summer, but there is little chance of that happening".

Some info about Marega, who is nicknamed 'The Terminator':

* 25-year old striker who can also play on the wings. Contract expires: 2018.

* Currently on loan at Vitória Guimarães. Porto contract contains €40m buyout clause.

* Vitória: 16 goals/assits in 21 apps (One every 107 mins).

* Mali: One goal in 7 apps.

* Mar 2017: Responding to transfer speculation, Marega insisted: "I just want to focus on my performance. Everything else will take care of itself".

Four years ago, Marega was playing in the Portuguese equivalent of non-league football, so he's experienced a meteoric rise to the top. However, there's no way he's worth €40m, and if Liverpool are to spend that much on a striker, it should go on a prolific goalscorer who has consistently scored 20+ goals over an extended period of time.
