Liverpool MegaDeal: 80% of LFC fans want Klopp to sign 'incredible' €80m attacker to replace Sturridge [Local Poll]

On Thursday, Ireland legend Tony Cascarino urged Jurgen Klopp to sign Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, but what do Reds fans think about this idea?

When asked this week about Liverpool's striking options, Cascarino told The Times:

“I don’t think Sturridge has a future at Liverpool. He doesn't fit into Jurgen Klopp’s team. I would get the striker from Dortmund, Pierre Emerick Aubemeyang. He is lightning quick. He would fit".

In a shocking, and frankly unforeseen turn of events, it appears that Liverpool fans agree with Cascarino's assessment. I conducted a poll asking fans if they'd support Sturridge being replaced by the 'incredible' €80m-rated striker. The results:

* 80% of 10500 (approx) participants voted YES to signing Aubameyang.

Most fans probably accept that this deal is a pipe-dream, but even if Klopp somehow contrives to sign Aubameyang, the problem that has afflicted Sturridge will still remain: who makes way to accommodate a new striker?

Roberto Firmino is doing a great job up-front, but unless Klopp completely changes 100+ year paradigm of football, no team can consistently win trophies without at least one striker playing (and scoring) regularly.

If the plan is to convert Firmino to a full-time striker, then he would compete with Aubameyang, but also offer the versatility of being able to play in attacking midfield positions.

With 12 goals/assists in 13 games so far, Aubameyang is on fire again this season. Do Liverpool have any chance of sealing his deal at some point in the future?
