Next Sterling? 'Unbelievable' attacker pleads for Liverpool 'chance'; confirms he wants to play 'further' forward

In pre-season, Liverpool youngster Ovie Ejaria caught the eye with some promising performances, and after being struck down by injury, Ejaria is back in action with the U23s, and he is determined to make it back into the first-team.

Ejaria grabbed a goal during the U23s recent 4-0 drubbing of Leicester, and after the game, he noted:

“Hopefully I can get a chance with the first team if I keep doing well and keep impressing".

Ejaria - recently hailed by U23s boss Michael Beale for his 'unbelievable technical ability - played a central midfield role in pre-season, but he insists that his strengths lie elsewhere:

“I think I can play in any midfield position to be honest, but I think my strength is more attacking, playing further up the field".

Unfortunately for Ejaria, the competition in advanced, central attacking roles is fierce, but with Lallana moving into midfield this season, there's possibly a slightly improved chance that he may get an opportunity in that role (most probably in a cup game).

Can Ejaria make a Sterling-like breakthrough, or is he destined to end up on the Anfield scrapheap like Rossiter, Sinclair, Teixeira, and Canos?
