Molby: Klopp should make 'harsh' decision and replace 'fantastic' Liverpool star with £20m powerhouse for Swansea

Illness kept Dejan Lovren out of last week's 5-1 victory over Hull City, but he is now ready to return, which means Jurgen Klopp has a minor selection dilemma on his hands.

Should Klopp stick with a winning team, and keep Ragnar Klavan alongside Joel Matip, or should be bring Lovren back into the fold? According to Reds legend Jan Molby:

"I'd expect Dejan Lovren to come back in. That would be harsh on Ragnar Klavan, who did nothing wrong last weekend [but] Lovren and Matip appear to be first choice".

In my view, Klopp should stick with Klavan - he did his job well against Hull, so there's no real justification for benching him. Players should be in the starting XI on merit, so why change a winning team?

As Molby suggests, though, Lovren/Matip appears to be Klopp's favoured partnership, so it'll be no surprise if he restores the Croatian (who cost £20m) to the starting line-up.

To be fair, though, there's not much difference in overall performance with either Lovren or Klavan in the team. With Lovren, the Reds have conceded 7 goals in 5 games; with Klavan, it's 6 goals in 4 games.
