Liverpool XI vs. Exeter: Klopp confirms team news; forgotten man returns; bad news for Sturridge

Liverpool have won only three of the last eleven games (all competitions), and after the disappointing defeat to Manchester United, a home victory over League Two outfit Exeter City represents an ideal opportunity to get back to winning ways.

Klopp's pre-match updates:

On player selection: "We have to think about for who it makes sense and for who it’s not too dangerous or difficult to start again...so it will be a similar team to last time.”

* On Jon Flanagan: "He is not [ready] for the starting line-up, but if he feels good then he will be on the bench".

* On Daniel Sturridge: "Absolutely no chance for Daniel. He has had no team training since Newcastle, so that’s not a situation where we can think about him".

In my view, there is no excuse for anything by a victory tomorrow. Forget injuries, form etc - Exeter City are in League Two, so even with a team full of youngsters, the Reds should be comfortably winning games like this.

Whatever team Liverpool put out should be good enough to win, and if the Reds can't beat Exeter at home, then serious questions need to be asked about Klopp's ability to motivate the players and/or come up with a tactical plan to beat a team that currently sits 14th in League Two (and concedes 1.5 goals per game)

My preferred team:

----------------- Fulton
Randall -- Can -- Sakho/Lovren (if fit) ---- Smith
---- Milner ----- Allen --- Brannagan
--------- Teixeira - Ojo
-------------- Firmino

You have until Wednesday 8pm (GMT) to participate.
