Liverpool vs. Hoffenheim: Champions League Qualifier - Confirmed Teams

It's all change again for Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp switching his team around for tonight's crucial Champions League clash with Hoffenheim.

* FULL TEAM: Mignolet, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Lovren, Moreno, Henderson, Can, Wijnaldum, Mane, Salah, Firmino

* SUBS: Karius, Klavan, Gomez, Milner, Solanke, Robertson, Sturridge

* Despite Saturday's 1-0 victory over Cyrstal Palace, Milner, Sturridge, Gomez, Klavan, and Robertson are relegated to the bench.

* Divock Origi and Mario Grujic don't even make the matchday squad.

* It appears that Klopp was saving Moreno for this game. What a turnaround for the Spaniard. It's your funeral, Jurgen *Shudder*

* Given his encouraging performance on Saturday, Robertson's omission is harsh. In my view, he should've retained his place. It's not like he needs a rest. Dropping Robertson after a good performance just disrupts his momentum, and slows down his integration into the team.

* Klopp's pre-match view: "Anfield is a main factor. We all know it is a very special place. The crowd are ready to fight and we are ready to fight too. The main difference between last week and this is everyone knows the quality of Hoffenheim."

To be honest, I have no fears about this game. Hoffenheim have to score twice, and under Julian Nagelsmann, they're an expansive team that likes to get forward, so in theory, this should play right into Liverpool's hands.

Plus, Liverpool have a stellar home record in Europe, and if the Reds grab an early goal, then but for a stunning (and historically unlikely) capitulation, the tie will be as good as over.
