Liverpool appear to be leading the race to sign one of Arsenal's most important (and injury prone) players.
According to Sky Bet today, Liverpool are currently 6-1 favourites (ahead of West Ham and Everton) to sign 'spectacular' Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey this summer.
Ramsey enters the final year of his contract this summer, and unless he signs a new deal, he'll be able to leave for free at the end of the 2017-18 season.
I find it hard to believe that Jurgen Klopp is interested in signing such an injury prone player, but if this is true, then it's transfer negligence of the highest order. Ramsey's injury record at Arsenal:
* 9 separate injuries in the last three years.
* 352 days on the sidelines (70 games missed).
* 5 of Ramsey's 9 injuries = hamstring issues, which suggests that he'd struggle in a physically intensive Klopp team.
* Averages just 23 full games per season for the last 9 years.
This season alone, Ramsey - hailed last season by Steve Gerrard as the 'best attacking midfielder in the country - has sustained three separate injuries, and missed over 20 games.
It's not about ability; like Sturridge, Ramsey just can't stay fit, and it's absolute madness to consider signing yet another injury prone player.
