Contact Made: Liverpool make massive offer for 'explosive' €50m attacker who's like Aubameyang

Liverpool have reportedly taken the first step in trying to sign one of La Liga's most 'explosive' attacking players.

The Reds have regularly scouted Athletic Bilbao attacker Inaki Williams this season, and a recent report in Spanish newspaper Don Balon claimed:

"Liverpool are willing to pay €50m to get Williams. Klopp intends to make him his 'new Aubameyang'.

Now, according to Marca:

"Liverpool have been in touch with Bilbao to offer them the release clause [€50m] for Williams".

Some info about 22-year old Williams, who is nicknamed 'La Pantera' (The Panther):

* Right winger, who can also play on the left, or as a striker. Plays as a centre-forward for Spain's U21 side. Current deal expires: 2021.

* Bilbao: 23 goals/15 assists (38) in 105 games (One every 198 mins).

* This season: 15 goals/assists 43 apps (One every 215 mins)

* Spanish newspaper Sport claimed: "Jurgen Klopp wants to make Inaki Williams his new Aubemeyang. The Liverpool coach has observed in Williams a series of characteristics that make him very similar to Auba".

Williams appears to have all the attributes required of a (potentially) top-class attacker (strong, fast, skillful etc), but his creative return - especially this season - is average, and nowhere near worth €50m.

Additionally, Williams appears to be dead set on staying at Bilbao. When asked last week about a possible transfer this summer, he told AS:

"I'm very happy and this is where I want to be. I have no intention of a change of scenery. It's flattering to have big teams interested in you, but I'm at the biggest, and I want to continue my career here".

That sounds pretty emphatic to me. Is Williams worth €50m?
