Klopp Nightmare: 'Brilliant' €38m Liverpool star misses training after horror tackle. Out of Bournemouth game?

Liverpool midfield Emre Can took a battering during Saturday's 3-1 victory over Everton, and with Sadio Mane, Jordan Henderson, and Adam Lallana already ruled out of Wednesday's clash with Bournemouth, it looks like Can may also be forced out of the game.

Overrated Everton attacker Ross Barkley arguably deserved to be sent off for his horror tackle on Can, and the challenge appears to have taken its toll.

Can missed training today, which suggests that he's carrying a knock, and it's probably related to Barkley's challenge.

Barkley has previous for bad tackles against Liverpool players, and Reds fans will remember this disgraceful challenge from the Merseyside derby in December:

Barkley also hacked down Dejan Lovren in Saturday's game:

The physicality of the Premier League is constantly lauded, but this is just pathetic, and tackles like these are (sadly) prevalent in English football. As for Barkley - he's yet another overrated British player, who's constantly built up by the press and UK pundits (including Gerrard and Carra).

The reality, however, is that Barkley is consistently average, and when things aren't going his way, he reverts to type (i.e. falls back on needless physicality).
