Confirmed Teams: 'Wonderful' Liverpool star dropped; £20m powerhouse returns; Klopp makes surprise inclusion

As expected, Dejan Lovren returns to the starting lineup for today's Merseyside derby at Anfield.

FULL TEAM: Mignolet, Clyne, Matip, Lovren, Milner, Lucas, Can, Wijnaldum, Mane, Coutinho, Firmino

SUBS: Karius, Klavan, Moreno, Alexander-Arnold, Grujic, Woodburn, Origi

EVERTON: Robles, Holgate, Williams, Jagielka, Pennington, Baines, Davies, Gueye, Barkley, Calvert-Lewin, Lukaku

* Lucas get the nod in central midfield. A midfield three of Can, Lucas, and Wijnaldum is painfully slow, but with the injuries to Lallana and Henderson, Klopp had little choice but to make the decision.

* Perennialy injured midfielder Marko Grujic is included on the bench, which is a minor surprise.

* Woodburn and Alexander-Arnold continue make the bench, but there's no place for the ultra prolific Harry Wilson.

Once again, Liverpool's bench lacks experience, and if the Reds are chasing the game, there's not much match-winning quality to fall back on.

That said, Liverpool haven't lost at home to Everton since 1999, so there's a high probability of a positive result.

Klavan: Described by Klopp as a 'wonderful player'.
