It's Your Fault: Carra slates 'Klopp' for massive £60m Liverpool mistake vs. Bournemouth

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has criticised Jurgen Klopp for his decision-making during Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.

Reacting to the result, Carra told NBC Sports:

"Questions need to be asked of Jurgen Klopp about taking Coutinho off and bringing on Matip. Liverpool were in the ascendency. You can never trust Liverpool defensively".

This is just another example of Klopp's tactical ineptitude. The German has only one way of playing, and his idea of tactical nuance is taking of a goalscorer (and the club's best player on the night), and replacing him with a central defender during a home game at Anfield. World-class!

In my view, it was a mind-boggling ridiculous decision, and it's hard to see the tactical justification for switching to three at the back.

Where was the pressing need to make that change? It seemed like change for change's sake, and it made zero difference as Bournemouth still scored.

Klopp claims Coutinho felt 'sick' at half-time, but I didn't see the Brazilian signalling to come off in the second half. Some other post-match reaction:

* Jurgen Klopp: "When Coutinho came off, it was too early for Daniel Sturridge in such an intense game".

* Simon Mignolet: "Frustrated with the result! But we have to recover quickly with a game in 3 days time!"

* John Aldridge: "Very very disappointing result. Got to have the strength of mind to see these games out, specially after coming from behind".

* Eddie Howe: "Delighted with a point. defended very well. Very difficult coming here but restricted them to mainly long shots".

Liverpool are still in a good position in the league, but with two away games up next, and injuries to big players, it's going to be tough to get results.

* Coutinho: £60m-rated. Carra's comments transcribed whilst watching live.
