Sign for Liverpool? Boss drops massive transfer hint about 'dangerous' €25m attacker; confirms deal is a 'possibility'

PSG boss Unai Emery has hinted that he's willing to allow Liverpool target Jese to leave during the January transfer window.

Last week, Las Palmas president Miguel Angel Ramirez confirmed:

"Liverpool want to sign Jese and are ready to pay what he earns. We cannot afford his salary".

When asked on Monday about Jese's future, Emery told Marca:

"It is difficult to give him [Jese] playing continuity. Hence, one of the possibilities that we have spoken about and will consider after the break, is to analyse what is best for the team and what is best for him."

Prior to his summer move to Paris St. Germain, Liverpool were regularly linked with a move for Jese, and at the time, ex-Red Danny Murphy urged Jurgen Klopp to sign the Spaniard:

"Jese Rodriguez...has grown tired of his lack of game time. He is young, quick and well worth a gamble given his current discontent.”

Jese is averaging just 26 minutes of pitch time per game this season, and with the quality at Emery's disposal, that's unlikely to improve in the second half of the season.

After spending €25m just 5 months ago, it seems unlikely that PSG will dump Jese so soon after signing, but a loan deal could be an enticing possibility. Liverpool are definitely interested, and given Klopp's aversion to expensive January transfers, a loan deal is (arguably) the most viable option.

Worth a look?
