Liverpool Transfer? Klopp holds secret talks with 'fabulous' €30m Brazil sensation who's like 'Neymar'

Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for one of Philippe Coutinho's Brazilian team-mates.

According to Italian newspaper Tutto Mercato:

"Jurgen klopp is still thinking about Inter Milan star Gabriel Barbosa, who he has already spoken with in the last weeks of 2016".

Milan director Piero Ausilio has already confirmed that the Italian club will listen to offers. In December, he told CalcioMercato:

"If he [Barbosa] wants to leave, we will listen to his request.”

In a separate interview, Barbosa's agent, Wagner Ribeiro, also hinted that an exit may be on the cards:

"I was contacted by a club to take Gabriel on loan [and] what I want is for my client to no longer be humiliated. Why isn’t he playing? Not even Inter can answer that."

Barbosa - who cost Inter €30m last summer - has, however, dismissed rumours of an imminent exit, and in a recent interview, he insisted:

"A lot of people are talking rubbish. Plan A is to stay at Inter. I'm learning a lot and it's just a matter of time. No player arrived and immediately went into the starting XI. I have to get used to it."

If - as TMW alleges - Klopp has personally contacted Barbosa (or his agent), then it's a positive sign as it means Klopp is actively trying to address one of the club lack of decent cover for Sadio Mane.

Barbosa's agent, claims the Brazilian has 'technical skill of Neymar' and the 'pace of Lucas Moura', but if that's the case, why has he been restricted to just 20 minutes of game time all season?
