Great News for Liverpool: Klopp drops massive hint about 'unbelievable' €10m sensation

Injuries may be piling up, but Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that one of the club's long-term injury victims is finally on the verge of a first-team return.

During his pre-match press conference on Friday, Klopp strongly hinted that Joe Gomez will start Liverpool's FA Cup third round clash with Plymouth Argyle:

"Maybe it will be his first game at Anfield in a long time. It will not be the biggest surprise to see Joe Gomez in the line-up on Sunday. We are really happy for him."

Klopp clearly rates Gomez, and in an interview last month, he raved:

"Joe Gomez is he is an unbelievable talent. His pre-season has already started and he can get match time. That’s very important".

With Sakho on the outs, Matip regularly injured, and Lucas operating as a makeshift centre-back, Gomez is coming to back to fitness at exactly the right time. Looking forward, if Gomez is as good as Klopp claims, then perhaps he's an option to become Matip's long-term partner at centre-back?

Klopp also confirmed that there's a 'big chance' that Loris Karius will return to the starting lineup:

"He [Karius] trained outstandingly good, and [that] was good to see. He will benefit from this step back or step aside".

Possible defensive unit for Plymouth:

-------------- Karius
Arnold --- Gomez -- Klavan ---- Moreno

I don't know why, but I have a horrible feeling that Gomez will get injured again in the very near future, just like Danny Ings. I hope I'm wrong...
