Klopp Confirms: 'Brilliant' €25m Liverpool star is out of Bournemouth game. Time to sell?

Liverpool face Bournemouth on Sunday, and at least one player is a confirmed absentee for the game.

According to the official Liverpool FC website today:

"Daniel Sturridge will miss the visit to Bournemouth as he continues to recover from a calf complaint".

Jurgen Klopp appeared to confirm this during his pre-match press conference earlier:

"Daniel is not in training now and that is what I am more concerned about".

'Brilliant' Sturridge missed several days of training last week, and if - as Klopp suggests - he has missed training all this week, then his calf injury is clearly more serious than the club is letting on.

Plus, When he's fit enough to return, Sturridge will have to consistently train to get back up to match fitness, and if Klopp sticks with his previous plan of demanding 10 straight days of training before first-team selection, it could be a while before the striker plays again.

After a sustained period of fitness lasting almost a year, this injury is a massive setback for Sturridge, and sadly reaffirms once again that he cannot be relied on. After sustaining his fitness for so long, he deserved to be considered for regular game time, but amid ongoing transfer interest, perhaps the time has come for Liverpool to seriously consider selling?
