Anfield Alert: 65% of Liverpool fans want Klopp to replace Firmino with 'exceptional' €31m star for today's game

Who should start upfront for Liverpool today?

On Friday, Reds legend Jan Molby insisted that Divock Origi should get the nod, but what do fans think about that?

I conducted a poll asking fans who Klopp should select to lead the line, and the results were emphatic:

* 65% of participating fans chose Origi over both Firmino and Mane.

Last week, Origi revealed that he's benefiting from working with Arsenal legend Thierry Henry:

“Yes, we speak a lot and he tries to improve my game. He is a good man as a person and a legend so it is interesting. He tells me to play with my qualities.”

With its precision and skill, Origi's goal against Sunderland was (arguably) a little Henry-esque, and working with one of Europe's greatest ever goalscorers can only be a beneficial for both Liverpool and Origi.

Unfortunately, over the last three seasons, Origi has failed to score in successive League games for both Lille and Liverpool.

With any luck, if Origi starts today, he'll break that historical trend.

* €31m-rated (CIES Football Observatory). Described as 'exceptional' by Owen Hargreaves.
