Great News for Klopp: 'Magnificent' £82m Brazil star confirms he wants to play for Liverpool 'for many years'

One of Liverpool's most consistent players has pledged his future to the club.

Speaking to LFC Magazine this week, Brazilian attacker Roberto Firmino enthused:

"I love it here and plan to stay for many years. The Premier League is really competitive and tests you all the time".

Firmino also outlined how he's changed his game at Liverpool:

"I have had to change the way I play. The Premier League is very different to the Bundesliga. It is much, much faster...and you do need to adjust, but this is a type of football that I enjoy."

Firmino - hailed last month as 'magnificent' by Phil Thompson - has adapted well to the Premier League, but he still struggles to consistently deliver when played out wide, something that also plagued him at Hoffenheim:

* Hoffenheim: 12 goals/assists in 36 apps out wide (One every 232 mins)

* Liverpool: 4 goals/assists in 16 apps (One every 273 mins)

Since being shunted out wide in November, Firmino has failed to score or create a goal in nine hours of football, to the problem remains acute.

From a central position, Firmino averages a goal/assist every 126 minutes, so there's a significant difference. The moral of this story: play Firmino upfront, or not at all, starting with the next game against Stoke City.

* Firmino: LFC contract contains an £82m buyout clause.
