Anfield MegaDeal: Roberto Carlos confirms Real Madrid 'want to sign' €53m 'Liverpool' star

Brazil legend Roberto Carlos has suggested that Real Madrid are tracking one of Liverpool's most important players.

On Tuesday, the Express claimed:

"Zinedine Zidane has been a long admirer of Coutinho, and has told club president Florentino Perez that the Brazilian is top of his wish-list".

When asked yesterday about Madrid's reported interested in Coutinho, Carlos told Diario Madridista:

"Because I'm Brazilian, I'm very happy that Coutinho is doing well. I don't how long he has on his Liverpool contract Liverpool, but Real Madrid want to sign the very best players".

Barcelona and PSG are the club's most often linked with Coutinho, but with Madrid now seemingly in the race, it appears that the Brazilian is going to have a big decisions to make next summer.

Even if Coutinho is happy at Liverpool, it'll surely be impossible to reject a move to one of the two biggest clubs in the world? In my view, Coutinho's style of play is better suited to Barcelona; under the shadow of Ronaldo and Bale at Madrid, he'd probably struggle to impose himself, just like James Rodrigues.
