Anfield MegaDeal: Liverpool ready to sign 'brilliant' €30m attacker; Klopp to offer €125k-a-week salary

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly willing to spend big bucks in January to bolster Liverpool's attacking options.

Last month, Italian football expert Ciro Venerato claimed that the agent of Napoli attacker Lorenzo Insigne's had 'received a call from Jurgen Klopp'. Now, Mediaset Premium claims that:

* Jurgen Klopp wants to sign Insigne as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho.

* Liverpool are prepared to offer €30m for the transfer fee plus a contract worth €6.5m per year [€125k-a-week]

This follows recent reports suggesting that:

* 'Brilliant' Insigne is keen on a move to Anfield.

* Napoli will sell due to Insigne's unreasonable salary demands.

I can't get my head around why Klopp is (allegedly) so keen:

* This season, for example, Insigne hasn't scored a single goal in 15 games.

* Since 2012, he's averaged goal every 356 minutes, which is pitiful.

* Only ever scored more than 5 league goals once in his entire career.

Insigne's nickname is 'Il Magnifico', but that must surely pertain to his inconsistency as there's nothing 'magnificent' about his end product.
