Replace Ings? Klopp wants 'brilliant' €50m attacker who's 'tempted' to sign for Liverpool. Agent pushing for talks

Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for 'brilliant' Napoli attacker Lorenzo Insigne.

According to Italian newspaper Il Messagero this week:

* Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, and Wolfsburg all want to sign Insigne.

* The Italian striker wants a salary of £100k-a-week.

Transfer Timeline:

* Sep 2016: TalkSport claimed Liverpool and Spurs are tracking Insigne.

* Oct 2016: Italian football expert Ciro Venerato told Rai Sport: "Insigne is tempted to leave. His agent has received a call from Jurgen Klopp".

* Oct 2016: Napoli Chief Aurelio De Laurentiis reportedly slapped a €50m price tag on Insigne.

* Oct 2016: UK reports claimed that Insigne's agent is 'pushing for talks with Liverpool' to help the striker 'force a January move to Liverpool'.

Some info about Insigne:

* 25 year old left-winger who can also plays as a striker. Current contract expires: 2019.

* Napoli: 71 goals/assists in 179 apps (Goal ever 356 mins. G/A every 147 mins)

* This Season: 0 goals/5 assists in 14 apps

* Oct 2016: Booed by fans after missing a crucial penalty in a 3-2 Champions League defeat to Besiktas.

€50m for a player who's gone 14 games without a goal? Dream on! Insigne's goal record overall is middling at best, but if he's available for a reasonable price, is the Italian a viable target?

With Danny Ings now out for the season, Liverpool may need a replacement...
