Replace Coutinho? Liverpool reps fly out to watch 'excellent' attacker who visited Anfield and met with BR

Liverpool are reportedly considering a January move for one of France's brightest talents.

The Reds were last linked with Lopez in 2014, and according to TalkSport today:

"Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in signing Marseille attacker Maxime Lopez. The Premier League clubs have sent scouts to watch Lopez in action over the coming month".

Some info about Lopez:

* 18-year old attacking midfielder, who can also play on either wing. Contract expires: 2017. Nicknamed the 'New Nasri'.

* Marseille: Only 5 senior apps so far (O goals/1 assist). 3 goals/assists in 6 apps for Marseille's U19 team.

* Mar 2014: The Daily Mail claimed:"Liverpool invited Lopez and his family as guests for the Merseyside derby. Lopez met with Brendan Rodgers and club staff".

* Nov 2016: Lopez's team-mate Florian Thauvin raved: "He [Lopez] played an excellent match. We know his qualities. He’s a very good player and has a very bright future. He was able to show everyone the extent of his talents.”

* Nov 2016: Marseille right-back Rod Fanni's assessment: "He [Lopez] is comfortable technically with both feet, and has everything to become a great number 10. He will have to work physically because he has not a very imposing size, but he can do it".

With rumours swirling around the Coutinho, perhaps Klopp sees Lopez as a potential long-term replacement?2
