Aldo insists: Klopp should replace Lallana with 'exceptional' £28m attacker because Liverpool are 'at home' vs. SFC

Who should replace Adam Lallana for today's Premier League clash with Sunderland?

Last week, Giorgino Wijnaldum got the nod, Reds legend John Aldridge has urged Jurgen Klopp to make a different choice for today's game:

"Lallana will be missing again, and I think Daniel Sturridge could be the solution. We are at home and I think he will get the nod".

This is surely a no-brainer:

* Liverpool are at home against a vastly inferior team, so there's arguably no need to play three central midfielders.

* A 4231(with a Can/Hendo midfield axis) is surely strong enough to get a result against relegation fodder. If the Reds are struggling during the game, then Klopp can bring on Wijnaldum and easily switch to 433.

* Wijnaldum played last week, and Liverpool failed to score. Sturridge is a proven goal-threat.

* On Friday, David Moyes confirmed his intention to park a 'double-decker' bus at Anfield. As such, the more potential goalscorers on the field, the better.

* If Klopp must play three central midfielders, then Coutinho can drop into Lallana's role, which will allow 'exceptional' Sturridge to play.

In my view, there's no excuse to ignore Sturridge for today's game. Preferred line-up:

-------------- Karius
Clyne ---- Matip -- Lovren ----- Milner
-------- Hendo ----- Can
------------ Coutinho
------- Mane ------ Firmino
----------- Sturridge

I suspect that Klopp will ignore Sturridge once again, though.

* Sturridge: £28m-rated
