Next Transfer? Liverpool chase €18m Argentine sensation who's like 'Carlos Tevez'. Klopp wants transfer in January

Liverpool are reportedly planning a January move for one of Argentina's brightest attacking talents.

After his great start to the season, Sadio Mane will be at the AFCON for most of January, and according to the Daily Express:

"Liverpool are interested in signing Boca Juniors attacker Cristian Pavon in January [as] Klopp will be without Sadio Mane for a month when he heads to the Africa Cup of Nations".

Some info about £13m-rated Pavon:

* 21-year old attacker, who can play on the left/right wings, or as a secondary striker. Cost Boca just €1.5m.

* Contract expires in 2020, and contains an €18m buyout clause, which is a record in Argentine football.

* Boca Juniors: 13 goals/assists in 27 games (One every 152 mins). 10 apps for various Argentina youth teams.

* May 2016: Sent off for removing his shirt after scoring in the Copa Libertadores. Later admitted he 'forgot' he'd already picked up a yellow card during the game.

* May 2016: Boca boss Guillermo Barros Schelotto compared Pavon to Argentine legend Carlos Tevez.

* On his best position: "I feel most comfortable playing on the left. I like to start on the wing and work my way inside. My greatest virtue is running with the ball, and making goals".

Given the inevitable work permit issues, this deal seems unlikely. Like Liverpool starlet Allan Rodrigues de Souza (who is perennially on loan), Pavon has never played for his senior national team, which means he will struggle to obtain legal authorisation to work in the UK.
