Rafa Benitez confirms: I'll 'watch' Liverpool-Man Utd game tonight and I predict a 'win' for......

Former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has given his view on tonight's hotly-anticipated clash with Manchester United.

When asked today who will win the game later this evening, Benitez told reporters:

"I have one team I want to win the game! I will watch it but will be concentrating on the Newcastle United game".

Benitez is being diplomatic, but given his allegiance to LFC, it's obvious who he wants to win (!)

Benitez remains revered on Merseyside, the over the last few years, the Spaniard has repeatedly claimed, hinted and/or implied that he will return to Anfield one day. For example:

* Apr 2013: Benitez emphatically insisted: "I know I will return to Liverpool as coach one day, almost certainly. What I don’t know is when but my wife and children still live there, so I will be back".

* Nov 2014: When asked about rumours of a possible return to LFC, Benitez told CalcioMercato:

“My family is distant, my wife and my two daughters live in Liverpool. It’s the first time that they are not with me and it’s not easy. De Laurentiis knows very well how important the value of the family is.”".

Soon after that, I conducted a poll on the site asking whether Benitez should replace Brendan Rodgers. The Results:

* 16200 visitors (approx) participated in the poll.

* 81% of fans voted YES for a Benitez return.

With Jurgen Klopp now at the helm, and possibly staying at the club for at least 7 years (the time he spent at both Mainz and BVB), will Benitez ever get a second chance at Anfield?
