Klopp to Sign? Liverpool still want 'exceptional' €15m sensation who's like 'Kompany'. Contact made already

Liverpool are once again being linked with PSG youngster Presnel Kimpembe.

In September, Mundo Deportivo claimed:

"Over the summer, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp enquired about signing Presnel Kimpembe".

According to Tuesday's addition of French newspaper Le Parisien:

"Last week, Kimpembe sent a message to PSG's president requesting a meeting discuss a transfer. Kimpembe is being courted by Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool"

When asked recently about his future, Kempembe made it clear that he's open to leaving PSG:

"At my age, you have to play. I know what I'm capable of. I've experienced the level in Ligue 1 and I know I can play."

Some info about €15m-rated Kimpembe:

* Left-footed central defender, who can also plays as a left-back. Current contract expires: 2018

* PSG: 18 senior appearances. Started six of PSG's last seven games.

* Sep 2016: PSG left-back Thomas Meunier raved: "He [Kempembe] is exceptional. I love his style of play. I can easily compare him with Kompany. Presnel has this elegance. He is modern and builds from the back"

* Sep 2016: On playing alongside Thiago Silva:"It has helped me to grow, and enabled me to make an impression and be where I am today. This summer, I felt as if I had gone up a level and I hope this is not the last time."

If reports over the last couple of months are to be believed, Klopp is seemingly determined to sign yet another centre-back, which surely means only one thing: the end is nigh for Mamadou Sakho (and Tiago Ilori).
